For one you want to avoid eating bread. Just eat the lean meat and cheese in the sandwiches. Usually at 6 weeks post op you go to regular foods. One of My favorites is to roll cheese up inside Turkey or Ham lunchmeat. Its a good snack and Protein

Kiesesassy when can we eat nuts. I feel like if I could chew up some pistachios really really well that would taste so good? I am almost five weeks out. I haven't tried anything like bread or crackers and don't plan too. But I would love some nuts.

Crackers are something we are allowed to have. I put Peanut Butter or with cheese and also to scoop tuna with. 5 crackers also has 2 grams of Protein. I am not sure about nuts but I know they are not always the best thing to eat. Real high in fat and calories. Even peanut butter natural nothing added is 190 calories for 2 tablespoons. So its really thinking what's worth the bang for the Buck to put in our tiny stomachs

You can gave mayo about a tablespoon but try using low fat or fat free if possible. The best to use is mustard if you like it. It is recommended to stay away from bread rice Pasta until you have reached your goal weight

I eat at a Mexican restaurant with my family fairly often. I get a scoop of Beans with a scoop of taco meat--I also put a little salsa in top. I also get grilled shrimp plain sometimes and dip in salsa.

I LOVE the Ritz Whole Wheat Crackers--goes great w tuna, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese. I usually have 3 at a meal--usually just once a day.

I am not sure about salads I haven't tried yet but I see some less post op then me trying them. I just know Protein is the most important thing for us and one serving of meat is 3 ounces so if your not full then the other ounce can be used on veggies then fruit

Remember to work on 4 ounces each meal that is our goal for now. 1/2 cup and at least 800 calories a day

Salads have little nutritional value and no protein--protein before ANYthing else. It would also be hard to digest the raw lettuce and veggies. I'm 11 weeks out and do not eat over 1/2 cup

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
