I feel like I have been hit by a Mac truck!! got out of hospital yesterday evening which I should have stayed been running a low grade fever about 100.8 in the evenings. Wednesday they did a dilatation to fix the stricture and Thursday did an ultrasound and found gallstones and sludge so Friday around, noon had gallbladder surgery. and it is 100% worst then gastric bypass pain. I have never been in so much pain in my life!! I am living off pain pills and zofran. I have lost about 10 pounds since Christmas

Did they give a decent pain med? I was on a diladid drip(better than morphine in my book) for 3 days..then switched to loritab...i can't believe they sent you home already..especially if you're running a little temp! My heart really goes out to you...you've been thru a lot...it will get better little by little....keep an eye on that temp and get plenty of rest

they were giving me morphine

which didn't work at all and finally Friday night a nurse I had during my bypass was my nurse that night who knew that morphine didn't work in me nor the zofran called the doctor and was switched to diladid and phenygrin and toradol to get my blood pressure down. I fell asleep within 5 minutes she helped me so much. I am on loratabs and zofran now I am home zofran doesn't help and instead if taking one loratab I am taking one and half that seems to help better but makes me more nauseous. I was able to drink half a cup of Unjury chicken Soup today. but I am scared I will become malnurished because I can't eat and definitely can't get enough fluids in but I am trying

Just keep trying a little bit at a time and it should get better..did they show you or give you your stones? That liquid Loritab would make me so sleepy and the taste would gag me...hope you start feeling better real soon

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
