Does anyone have a sample menu they would be willing to share? An example of a typical day for you that includes 60 grams of protein? I am really struggling with this right now and any help would be much appreciated. I am 5 weeks post op today.

The only way I get mine in is if I do 2 protein shakes a day with 20g+ of protein each. I always have a greek yogurt which is another 12 to 16 depending on the brand and then my other 2 meals are usually refried beans and salsa or canned chili with beans/turkey, sometimes beef. I also sometimes will have an egg with a sprinkle of cheese on it for a meal. I hope this helps some....but I have to still do the shakes to get it all in since my meals are so small.

My 10 day stall is finally over!! I broke down and had a shake yesterday along with some other protein filled meals, and woke up to a 3 lb loss!!! I've been trying to do this without shakes but it's apparent that I can't. I celebrated by walking a mile this morning!

Yay for you. I went back to the shakes also. At least one maybe two a day my protein daily is between 80/100. I'm hoping when I step on the scales Friday it will pay off I was in a big stall also. It's funny but it seemed that when I started exercising at around 4weeks post op I stopped losing :( hopefully I just needed a little kick.

Good job ladies. I also think I'm going back to shakes 2 times a day since I work out an hour or two a day. Our bodies needs the protein to lose the weight.

Hi jannie and welcome. My surgery was nov 19th. I'm doing great. Lost 35lbs in four weeks and then went through a big stall out now getting back on track with protein shakes. Dr finally this Friday to weigh in. How are you doing?

I WANT to use the shakes but I just can't choke them down! My body says nooooo.....

Me too! I've tried so many different varieties with different flavored protein powders and I just find them all sickening. The only one I've found to be decent yet is chocolate protein powder mixed with a decaf skinny mocha from Starbucks.

Question: I am on pureed/soft foods. I have been eating tuna and canned chicken w a little bit of mayo to keep it moist. Think it is ok to add some hard boiled egg??

Yes, lots of people eat egg salad or chicken/tuna salad. Just use light mayo :) You can also have scrambled eggs
