Got my fasting lab results for my 3 mo appt. I was totally surprised. When I went back in the hospital after the second surgery, I was deficient on Calcium and a couple other things. Test came back great. Not deficient in anything, yippee. I asked the Dr are you sure. Lol. I'm losing some hair. Can't be due to lack of Protein. I think it is the two major surgery's and the stress from ex. I was a dependent housewife for 22 years following him around due to the military. He was / is my income or a big part of it.

Um-just a little stress in your life! Holy cow! I hope things work out for you. Document everything.

I think I finally broke my stall, lost 1 pound. I upped my Protein and have been getting 85-95g a day. I have a shake right before workout and directly after. I read that having something high in protein within 30 minutes after work out will help body burn the fat and save the lean muscle.

I started working out every morn before work and it feels great. Helps w stress to. However I think I need an afternoon work out til the separation of ex and my stuff is finalized because I am so stressed out. Generally good at work but as soon as I leave it starts building back up :-( other than that, I don't miss him anymore. I have the loneliness as I have had. Now I'm going to sound like a little school girl, however I think I have a little crush on a guy that just started working for who I work for. Totally different buildings, but he is always so happy and smiling when he comes into my building. It is that that made me notice him. And he is single, woohoo!!!! So we shall see what happens there if anything. I'm shy being married for 22 yrs and with him for 25. I was told Friday night that I am intimidating. So the next day I text a guy coworker, that is single. He said he would be intimidated due to my looks and cuz I have my "shit" together. I will add to that (except when ex is pulling his crap I'll lose it once and a while.)

Have a good day all !!!

I finally broke my stall too and lost a whopping 6.8 lbs this week. That is the most I ever lost in a week. I guess working out is helping.

Let us know if anything happens with the mystery guy at work. Someone you deserve will come along. :)

I wish I would have found this group earlier! I had RNY on Dec 11 and I am enjoying getting a lot of info from here and hearing everyones story! I have had to have 2 stricture surgeries and am possibly awaiting a 3rd one! It is very frustrating for me. Thanks for sharing so much info!

This week I've been suffering from an abcess on my gums that seems to have spread to my jaw. I went 2 days of having nothing but life Water because that's the only thing I could tolerate warm, and then today I've had some applesauce. As a result I've lost 7lbs in 3 days. While I absolutely love the loss, something tells me that I should expect to see them back when this is all said and done. Your thoughts?

I am on pain meds and antibiotics but for now no one will see me until all the swelling has gone down. :(

Sorry! I hope the antibiotics kick in and your feeling better soon. I hope your 7 lbs stay off too! But if they don't, they will drop eventually!!

Oh man. Great weight loss but a terrible infection! I don't think you will see them back on unless you are really dehydrated. Be sure to try to get your Protein in!

Im sorry for the infection. I hope all goes well for you and I dont think you will see those 7lbs again! When I had my 1st stricture I lost 10lbs in 5 days and never saw it again after I had the procedure!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
