OMGooodness...It took me until noon to get my morning Protein Shake down.. I'm just on my third bottle of water..I feel like I have "real" food stuck in my throat...I've also been in a bitchy mood all day and I'm still constipated!

Good news is my follow up is tomorrow!! Biggest fear..He'll rip my steri strips off..lol...those bad boys aren't going anywhere any time soon!!

I kinda feel the same. I'm doing fine with getting anything down, but my doc said try to wean off of shakes and use food for my protein... Can't get to the level with out the shakes so well see. I did by some unflavored soy Protein so maybe it'll help. Any way... According to my docs plan I made a daily schedule. Thought I'd share in case anyone else could use. Btw my doc says no food 30 min before/ hour to hour and a half after (I did an hour or I'd never get my aqua in) and at least 32 ounces of Water a day. This plan gets me like 48 oz so if I fall short, no biggie

Wow, taking you off shakes already? I wasn't to even start them until my second week!

why not make them into a real shake, they have blue bell no sugar ice cream,

when i get up to the store I may try this

scoop of the ice cream

tablespoon of Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup

scoop of Protein mix

cup of milk or Water of your choice, I use fat free lactaid

Only 32oz? That seems much more doable.

Yes he did mine and Jodi's surgery. Where are you from?

Bentonville. Had RYN done at Mercy. Actually it was a revision from a sleeve he did back in 2010.

Bentonville. Had RYN done at Mercy. Actually it was a revision from a sleeve he did back in 2010.

I thought ppl thought the sleeve was a better route to go and not as restricted as the RNY . Hope it is better for you. I am not doing the journal. The nurses gave me copies of a piece paper they fixed for me. And i am supposed to document the ounces i drink but i just cant focus on it and keep up. I know i am to have 60 grams of Protein a day. So 1 scoop of my Unjury is 21 grams of protein i pour my milk in my shaker cup up to 16 ounces or Water. And put 2 scoops of protein in it and it takes me about 3 hours to drink it. I also drink a bottle 16 oz of water in between the shake. Then at night i will have the other scoop in water or milk and that gives me 63 grams of protein. And it gives me about 48 ounces of water Fluid. I do have a popsicle a day and SF Jello. I think i am doing ok with this. Its very slow going. Just want my strengh back

My surgery date was 12/28/12. I've had horrible nausea, issues with textures. And then it hit...the stomach flu :-( I really thought it was over! The pain was so bad, nothing I could do but vomit. I'm doing a bit better now. I haven't vomited in 2 days but not real up for anything. Trying to make sure I get enough Water but its hard. Still have pain from the flu.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
