I had that it was air. I'm using syntax and matrix protein. So far so good.

I am still liking GNC's Total Lean 25 shakes in Vanilla Bean.

Ok another weird question. My hair has become really funky. It's really oily and my skin is not as dry. I'm ten days out. This is just weird.

I am officially 6 days post op and I had my vsg 11/26/12 and the day of surgery I was 310 I weighed myself yesterday and my scale said 303 yay so know I'm 7 lbs down in 5 days woohoo I weigh myself once a week so I won't get obsessed with the scale cause that's no way to live really but hope everyone is doing good so far have no complications so far thanking god for that. Ttyl.

Hey guys, for the greasy hormonal hair, I tried some dry shampoo yesterday morning and it helped tremendously!!!!

Iwish the early recovery stuff would go much faster!!! Paitence is not something I am good at!!!!

I really like the Premier Protein shakes they sell at Costco or Sam's Club! And they pack 30 grams of protein.

I am 4 days post-op. Still in pain. Not able to get all of my fluids down. They are not releasing me from the hospital for observation due to anemia. I have a lot of swelling in my bowels. And my incision is producing a lot of blood (which is I was am moving towards anemia). I still am bloated. I'm feeling some anxiety about getting well but the surgeons and nurses assure me I will be okay and that the extra days in the hospital are truly to make sure I'm okay. I appreciate that they are watching out for me. I sure am ready to get rid of this post-op pain. I will continue sharing my insights. I do not know whether I am losing weight - right now I just want to be well - I'll worry about losing weight when I am back home.

Good luck Falicia..you will do fine! I had 3 drains up until I left the hospital...i would have gone home with one but they kept me 2 days longer because I was having breathing problems and they pulled all 3 the day I left

I'm in the hospital for my fourth night - I am writing this from the hospital. I am hoping to be discharged tomorrow. The latest problem is anemia. So they are going to stop the Lovenox shots and see what happens.

Hang in there...it's rough at first but in a few days you'll be feeling better everyday...sending some prayers for you..

Ok anyone else crying at the drop of a hat. I'm a mess today.

I am male and don't cry easily but strangely find myself WANTING to cry. It's a bit weird.

Well going thru all this is an emotional event..for man or woman..there is no shame in tears..but to answer the question, yes I've been a bit emotional but I don't really have a good support system. I think being in the hospital wears on a person

I just found this... better late than never. :)

I had surgery on Nov 5th, and on on Monday i will be four weeks post op. First two weeks were I guess normal even though i still felt very naseaus. I was able to walk every day, which made me feel very good. After a few days, I decided to go to the store and omg, I felt so very horrible. Very dizzy, very tired, hard to breathe. I felt like I was about to pass out. For about a week I felt that way, very tired and very weak. I couldnt even walk. Turns out that my blood pressure medication was making my blood pressure too low. Now Im iust scared to do anything... im scared that Im going to continue to feel like like im going to pass out.

Another thing... i still tend to feel naseaus, especially after I havnt had something to eat. I am just not hungry; even my head hunger is gone now. Sometimes the thought of food just makes me gag. I gag pretty much every day. Sometimes I even gag after I have ate something, but its usually the last bits and pieces. I always measure my food, atleast one ounce to one and a half ounce. Also it doesnt help im super picky with my food. The thought of something in the blender or something pureed is just ugh... naseaus. Im trying to think positive, but its so hard to.

Any advice would help.

Eli: hi and welcome. I'm less than two weeks out but I understand. The last few drinks of shakes gag me. Tried some soup now I'm a bit nauseated. I want crackers. Lol.

I don't really have head hunger but I'm realizing I'm totally addicted to food. It's so sad. The hormones make me want to stress eat but I am not hungry. Nor do I really care to eat. Everyone says it gets better. We have to wait it out I guess.

When I first came home from the hospital just looking at food made me salivate lol. My famiky even had to eat when they thought I wasnt paying attention. They felt so bad. I had to explain to them that I had to get use to it and they couldnt live eating hiding away from me. Lol
