I did find it helpful...just need to do a little shopping..

There are quite a few things in there and you can make different combos. So don't feel like you are missing out to much

OMG.....I'm on my way home and this 2 1/2 hr drive is SO HORRIBLE!!!!

xo Hilary

Oh yuck do you have a pillow or something to hold on your tummy

I'm able to move onto mushy foods tomorrow. I am so scared to. I don't want to get stuck, sick, bust anything....although, I'm excited to move onto something other than broth and jello! What was your first mushy food? I'm looking forward to refried beans with cheese....oh and yogurt, for some reason! :)

Now that sounds good..refried beans and cheesE...sour cream? You can see I haven't looked too much into what I can eat now..figured I would just stuck to the yogurt and cream soup and pudding til my Dr appt

Looking at my book,i don't think I can have anything else yet, sigh....the soup is good :)

I just drank 10 ounces of magnesium citrate and am waiting for it to take effect. Tomorrow is the big surgery day - my first real surgery in my life. I am nervous but going through with it. Reading your posts about post-surgery makes me feel better because it helps me understand what to expect. Did you have to have a surgical drain? How long did you have to wear it?

I hope all gose well may your recovery be swift :)

Hilary: oh I know! I had over and hour. You poor dear. Hugs!!

Kellyanne: they moved me to full liquids before purée. You are WAY ahead of me. Just chew chew chew. :-)

Worm, what are you able to have now? I've just been sticking to cream soup, yogurt, pudding and protein shakes

Good luck Falicia..you will do fine! I had 3 drains up until I left the hospital...i would have gone home with one but they kept me 2 days longer because I was having breathing problems and they pulled all 3 the day I left

Sky: I'm on full liquids, strained cream soups, yogurt and soupy cream of wheat. I don't move to puréed foods until after my appointment next Tuesday.

Ok...that's where I am at..just wanted to double check...you were a day ahead of me...how are you feeling?

I'm doing pretty good. Had a twisted intestine and had another surgery on Friday.
