I agree! My original surgery was Sept 21st, and had to go back Oct 19th. This 2nd surgery has been rough and I am not feeling well at all. I am so tired, dizzy, nauseous, just feel like crap. I don't think I'll ever look at food the same way again.

No, because I am only 5 days post op from the second surgery and wasn't sure if this might be normal at this point.

You may want to check. I didn't have nausea, so I wouldn't want to tell you something wrong.

Yes but it's different for everyone. Mine stop after 4 weeks then it started again at 2 months but now I'm perfect.

Called the doctor and they were very helpful. They explained that because we are in rapid weightloss our bodies are creating ketones while it burns fat. Ketones make the body feel crappy- tired, nauseous, dizzy, etc. So, they told me to drink more to flush out the ketones and I should feel better. Makes sense to me, now to try to take more liquids in.

That's good you called them.

I am 6+ months post op and really never had nausea much at all, if I at something that did not sit right with me I knew immediately and then the nasuea would happend. Or if I did not chew something enough I would get pretty nauseous. I would call your doctor if your are constantly nauseous.. something does not sound right. Even if it is normal for some people at least you will put your mind to rest that it is expected and there is nothing wrong.

Cooksie

Call you doc and see if you can get something for the nausea. Don't suffer without checking with them. Sending you best wishes, cause nausea is the worst, I think i would almost rather have a pain of some type then that awful feeling. Please call.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
