I've been doing great, my surgery date is the 30th of this month and I've been having Protein Bars and one real meal a day and plenty of water... Yesterday I slipped... I forgot too pack my bag and I was far out and at a function where the only option was to eat pizza, so I did :-\ ... Woke up with a crazy full feeling today...

feeling full is a good thing. Its ok that you had pizza... some slip-ups are normal as long as you do it in moderation. Sometimes I think little slip-ups keep you on track longer... just my opinon. It sounds like you are doing really well with your pre-op diet. Keep up the good work !!! The 30th is just around the corner !!!

I completely understand the feeling when you are doing so well and a little slip-up can put you in that mood. I agree with BBdoodle that as long as you do it in moderation it's ok. I haven't started my pre-op diet yet but I have a feeling there will be those times I feel the way you do when a slip-up occurs. I think my fault is that I feel like a failure when something like this happens....still trying to learn how to work through them. We have to remember that each day is a new beginning.... :)

Do beat yourself up over it... its not worth it. If I indulge a bit and feel guilty I will work out a half hour longer or run that extra mile to burn it off :) this helps you clear your mind and get back on track. We are all far from perfect and will mess up from time to time !!!

Today is my first day. Surgery on the 29th. I could have gotten by with today being a normal food day since the pre op wasn't till this morning but I went ahead and said what the hey and just do it. It is very hard and you have to be very determined to stay on track that's for sure. But at least my liquid consist of phase 1 and phase 2 so I can have strained cream Soup and cottage cheese

My surgery is on the 30th also and I know exactly how you feel. I was suppose to be on a pre op diet this whole month and I was doing great at the beginning but my 25th birthday was on the 16th and my 1st wedding anniversary was yesterday and I haven't been doing well. I'm praying it doesn't effect anything. My pre op is tomorrow and I am going to do shakes and 1 small meal up until surgery so I hope that make up for it. I'm sure your going to be fine. Good Luck with everything.

pizza can be health with the right toppings or crust made out of interesting new things besides bread. Try to stick with thin-crust if you have to eat it ....

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
