Hi everyone! I'm really considering getting banded I want to know how long does the process take meaning from the first consulation to the actual sugery?

One of the dr. in my area requires 6 months to a year, does this sound right?

Also, is there anyone here from the metro detroit area, if so any referrals?

My entire process took 6-8 weeks. There was no preop diet that I needed to follow for 6 months. Good luck.

I was a self pay and it took about 6 weeks.

It can vary from 6 weeks to 6 months. Usually it is about 2 to 3 months.

Six months to a year seems like a lot to me.
