From Dr. Deol's website I was very impressed but from reading the thread it looks like she had some hidden cost. Have anyone tried the Barix clinic in Yspilanti? My mom had her gastric bypass there about 6 years ago and was well impressed. I was thinking about going there but I wanted somewhere close , I live in the Troy area.

Tonight I'm going to one of Dr. Deol's seminars at Beaumount. Again I have only heard good things about her I'm also considering the Dr. in Flint as well. Does anyone know of a good one in the Auburn Hills/Rochester area besides Dr. Pleatman in bloomfield??? (I would love to go to Dr. Pleatman but he has a very long process you must go through)

Hey Moosictchr I just want you to know that you are not alone with trying to make a decision like this. I as well have been battling the idea of 1) having major sugery and 2) Will this actually help me lose weight. I am still trying to decide if lapband is the best solution for you me......I have yet to decide. Hopefully you will make the best decision GOOD Luck!

Wow! cschoen I was thinking the same thing. My mom had bypass surgery about 5 years ago and she lost 50 lbs right away then it took her another two years to drop 150 lbs so I really didn't want to go down that road. I'm really considering the band but I would like to know much as possible before I have the procedure done and really research the dr. before I do anything. Good luck on your decision.

Hello everyone! I'm considering getting banded I have been been doing alot of research on this and I want to know who do you guys think is the best in the Metro Detroit area? One of my co-workers says it's Dr. Pleatmen??? But after going to his website it looks like there is a lot of requirements which is good but mentions that this process will take 6 months to a year. Any suggestions, thoughts, comments???? :help:

Hi everyone! I'm really considering getting banded I want to know how long does the process take meaning from the first consulation to the actual sugery? One of the dr. in my area requires 6 months to a year, does this sound right? Also, is there anyone here from the metro detroit area, if so any referrals?
