Head Hunger

I am about a month away from surgery and I'm kind of freaking out. I'm afraid that my brain is not going to be able to tell me when I'm full.

Do you really stop being hungry for no reason? When you get full do you stay full??

YES!!! I forget I need to eat sometimes. I do get hungry randomly but that's if I have forgotten eat for a long period of time. I do need to fight head hunger. When pouch says...I am satisfied. My head says WTF! You only ate 1/4 cup of tuna salad. Feed me Seymore! (Sorry for the little shop of horrors reference) Anyway....I has 3 pieces of sashimi for lunch today and was full...it would have take 15 to 20 before for that to happen. You can do this!

Yup - you really do stop being hungry, at all, for a period of time following surgery. After it's had a little time to heal following your surgery, it's your new pouch that will tell your brain when you're full. And when you get full, you'll definitely STAY full for a long time. It don't take a lot when your stomach is the size of an egg!! Lol. You're gonna love the new you!!

I'm usually 4 bites max. I only get hungry if I choose inappropriate foods. Still with your diet. It will work. And if you try and eat more than you should you will throw up :/

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
