October Surgery Dates

Recommended Posts

My surgery is Officially October 9th. This whole process has been so quick and painless! My insurance company has been fantastic. My first surgeon appointment was September 10th' date=' I met with the dietician and psychologist that same day. My info was submitted to insurance September 13th and I was approved September 20th. Super exited and thankful timing worked as it did.these boards have been super helpful and I look forward to losing b with all of you![/quote']

I wish mine was painless LOL. Well it's been painless but just takes forever. I had to do the 6 months supervised diet and the way my insurance is it has to be consecutive so actually it's 7 months. I go on the 4th to pcp to get final weigh in

Saw my surgeon this morning and he says im doing great, & we both cant wait till the 8th, he says im the perfect canidate for this surgery. I love my surgeon he's really down to earth and very easy to talk to, and it's a added plus that he knows all of my other doctors so they all have been working well together to get my surgery on it's way. 11 days to go and I cant wait.:)

So I started to have a little panic attack today. It sounds silly but I'm kind of grieving over my favorites foods that I will no longer be able to eat. (chocolate and Mexican Food). I am way more excited about the surgery and all the positive benefits to my life. But also sad that I will be losing my Comfort foods. Anyone else having this feeling?

A little bit.... I start my self inflicted liquid diet tomorrow and can't decide if I want Chinese or chicken wing for my last solid lunch for 2 months.

I know it's not forever so that is helping with me reasoning with myself.

Chinese is good but a lot of sodium which will make you hold on to Fluid for days!! I know October 1st olive garden is opening up so on the 4th after my final weigh in my last supper will be there

Its been 7 years since I went there so really looking forward to it. I love the salad mainly. And I am not a drinker at all but when I went last time my aunt purchased a pitcher of some kind of wine with a bunch of real fruit in it. And that's what I am getting lol

I went with the Chinese food :) house special chicken and cream cheese wontons yummy!

Crab ragoons that's what we call the cheese wontons and they are my favorite. I love Chinese but the last couple times we ate there we got sick. So haven't been in a long long while

It was probably sangria that is usually red wine with fruit in it served over ice

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
