  3. Surgery date 10/09/12 298 lbs day of surgery 259 lbs thismorning.. 39 lbs lost
  4. It will slow down eventually. I had a 4 week liquid diet after surgery...I can move too pured foods on Tuesday (week 5). I've lost 35 lbs, but i'm starting to see it slow down
  5. I returned to work 2 Weeks exactly after surgery...my recovery had been awesome. Good luck
  6. They did not require anything other then the psych Eval and nutritionist appointment. No 3,6 or 12 month diet either. The whole process took me 28 days from first surgeon appointment to day of surgery.
  7. That's fantastic! Our stats are pretty similar. I was 298 on the day of surgery 10/9. I'm 3 Weeks out today and down to 266.2. I'm so impatient and I can't wait for the infamous "front butt" to disappear! On the plus side, losing all that weight around my upper waist has made my boobs look fabulous! Great job! Can't wait to see where this journey takes you!

  10. Stick with it! I'm less then 3 Weeks out, and feel 100% (was even in a car accident the first week). It does get better ! The gas is uncomfortable, but walk, walk, walk! Congratulations on your new journey!

  15. Weighed myself for the first time since surgery on 10/9/12. I knew I had lost a little, but never thought 20 lbs! It's crazy to watch your body "melt" away! I'm feeling fantastic and going back to work tomorrow. My incisions have healed super quick and i'm having minimal scarring. Post op 298 Today 277.6!
  16. Ooh my poor, poor husband! He's been so sweet and understanding, he really is a champ! I resolved to not buy a scale for this journey. I don't want to be focused on a number (clothes size is close enough) so,I don't know of I've gained or lost, but I still feel grosse! I'm hoping that "this too shall pass" and at some point in the near future I'll feel proud of the decision I made to have WLS,and maybe feel a little less like punching a baby...lol (figure of speech..id never really punch a baby )
  17. I don't feel like i'm mourning food or anything like that,I just feel unstable, like i'm a complete wreck!
  18. Anyone else extremely depressed post op? I'm 10 days out and am completely mentally drained. Physically I feel fine, but i've never felt so hopelessly depressed in my life. I feel fatter now then I did pre op and simply want to run away. Anyone else experience this? I feel hopeless.
  19. When that drain comes out you'll get some relief too! I felt atleast 60% better the second it was removed! Good luck!
  20. I'm just curious how having gastric bypass surgery has effected your marriage? I'm concerned that my husband isn't going to be able to handle it. He is so accustomed and content with a lazy, inactive, food/marijuana based lifestyle that he is beginning to resent the healthy choices I am making for myself. I am no longer "okay" with meidocre and only want the best for myself, my future and his as well. We've been married 7 years and have always had issues when it comes to the lifestyle choices he makes. I'm just curious to hear others experiences. Sorry for the rant.
