Recommended Posts

K I'm 3 weeks out Tuesday. The first week n half were hell. Went to the dr and he cleared me to do the purée diet or eat what I can tolerate. Well I have days where I'm sick n can't or don't wanna eat ne thing. Then I have my days where I'm hungry and I eat like a yogurt for Breakfast lunch tuna or chicken salad and tonight I made a minni veggie pizza and ate the hole thing w no problem. I can tolerate pretty much everything I been tryin. This SCARES ME TO DEATH!!! I can eat sugar free ice cream no prob althou it's a couple spoon fulls. I'll eat nuts no prob. Am I over doing it? Am I gunna stretch my pouch? What do I do? HELP ADVISE???

I am four months out & feeling the same. I have days where I just can't eat anything & other days where I feel like I am eating too much. Not sure why that is, but those days where I feel like I eat too much scares me too.

i have had days like that too. last week had a snack an hour after a "large dinner" -1/4 cup and didn't get sick. I actually lost more weight in the two days after that (brought me out of starvation mode and boosted metabolism??) i think if this is only occasional it is ok. you just don't want to over do it all the time because you will stretch!

It too have days where I eat very little and other days I can eat. I do follow a low calorie/fat diet. I would check with your doctor and see if he can give you some guidelines to follow. I believe everything in moderation, eat healty and you will be OK. Keep the fats and sugars down and you will be OK.

It's very normal. I sometimes have days I'm very hungry & other days I careless if I eat or not. Yesterday I had one bite of cheese & I felt like I ate a whole pizza pie. Just try to eat healthy stuff. We don't eat enough calories well I don't to stretch anything out so I wouldn't worry.

So if we can stretch it out, can we shrink it again?

So if we can stretch it out' date=' can we shrink it again?[/quote']

I think only the surgeon can make it small again if we stretch it.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
