If you are chewing good and eating slow and it's still happening...I would call the doctor....just to be sure! Hope you feel better soon.

Yeah but any taste of food induces vomiting.

Oh Tank that sucks :( Have you spoken to your doctor about this? Are you eating in small amounts, chewing like crazy etc. etc.? What foods are you trying to eat? I only have problems with some foods but basically if I chew, chew, chew really well then I'm good. I am 4 months post op and trying new foods a few times a week.

I'm 3.5 weeks post op and have regressed to the point of not tolerating Clear Liquids.

If you're not tolerating Clear Liquids either that doesn't sound good. What about differences in temperature...warm vs cold fluids? Definitely call your bariatric center/nutritionist. They may have some tricks of the trade to help you. I know for me some things just aren't going to go down. I have to psych myself up to get a Protein Shake down. I can't tolerate scrambled eggs even after chewing well because I got sick on them a few days back. Just the smell of them turns me off. But you should be able to eat pureed foods by now.

So you are pretty new to this at 3.5 wks post op. Have you tried Soups, etc? They always do the trick for me. Its like putting something warm and fuzzy in my stomach. When I would try something that did not like me, I would go back to liquid for a day and re-adjust. Soup always helped. But you are saying you cannot even tolerate clear liquids - yikes. I think you better call your doctor !! Are you getting your vitimans and Protein in?

Not getting the Protein at all but I am staying hydrated. It's basically any food type liquids won't stay down. It might all be in my head though.

Like someone else said... Sounds like it could be a stricture. I would call my doctor especially if you were able to tolerate food and have now regressed to just fluids.

Hope you feel better!!

Tank, call your Dr first off. Second same was happening to me but only after I had tries chicken and failed horribly; 4 days nothing stayed down. I managed a few yogurts partially but would still her sick. Having had the issues in the past I know I irritated my pouch. I have been using my carafate and today cheese worked. That's as solid as I'm going for now. I know when my pouch gets irritated I have ro give it time to be less angry. If you won't call the Dr. Please yet going back on liquids for a bit and Protein Shakes watered down at the least

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
