Fill Doctor in Houston

Recommended Posts

Can anyone recommend a fill doctor in Houston? Preferably the 1960/I-45 area or even Humble or The Woodlands would be good.

I had my surgery with Dr. Spiegel but will never go back to him.:speechles

Not to get to personal, but why would you not go back to him, seriously.

Spiegel's fills are done at the Surgicenter, and they are nice folks there. You might not have to see Spiegel...... I go there as Spivak's patient, and like them.

I'm also very interested in your experience with Dr. Spiegel. My husband and I both had a consultation with him last night and we're trying to decide if he's a fit for us. If you don't feel comfortable posting here, you can email me. I'd appreciate your input.

Dustmouse, you might do a search in here for Dr. Spiegel. I'm not real sure, but I believe there was someone that had a MAJOR problem with him or his staff or something. I think he may have been the doctor that has cattle call fills. Run 'em in, fill 'em up, run 'em out kinda thing. If memory serves.....but then again, I'm getting old.......hehehehe

I use the cattle call wording. That's how he runs his business. That in no way means that he isn't the best surgeon. He is. The fills are done at the surgicenter so you really don't need to see him. He was/is a great surgeon, but no real aftercare. I didn't need any extra attention, but if I do he will respond.

Fills at the surgicenter are great. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. You will be asked to follow your doctor's fill instructions. That's it. It's very easy.

Here's is HJTx's post from another thread that explains her problem with Dr. Spiegel.

Beware fellow bandsters with these "gas pains". I too was extremely bloated for days and had pain under my breast, sort of behind my rib which kept getting worse. I kept telling my doctor that it didn't feel like gas at all but he wouldn't listen. It turned into the worst pain I've ever felt in my life. EXCRUCIATING!!!! Turned out to be Post Operative Pleurisy. NINE days in the hospital!!!!!!

:clap2:has anyone used dr spivak for ur surgery?

You'll find a lot of Dr. Spivak's patients here. I'm only 3 weeks post-op, so I haven't had any fills, yet. I really like Dr. Spivak. I had a hard time coming out of the anesthesia, and he came by 3 times to check on me after surgery. One time was around 8:00 p.m., so I'm sure he was foregoing his personal time to check on me. His office staff has been great, too.

Also, I have three doctor friends, and I asked for their recommendation for a lap-band surgeon. Dr. Spivak was their number one choice.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
