DL no pic required but that does mean all of us get crazy little pics of you in our head like:

You are a super hero just wearing a thong and cape. Or a sexy CIA agent sent here to protect us from stupid people hurting our feelings or just a guy who likes dressing up as the tooth fairy. Haha

I'm the same way, my boyfriend is getting tired of me going on and on about what I'm going to do after, or how this is going to change, or oh my god look at that dress, I can't wait to be able to wear something like that. It's what's been going on in my head since I found out that our insurance covered it. It's been like an rny-a-thon in my head. I'm terrified of the day that I stop obsessing over it. I'm just so excited. I started writing everything that I had been thinking about the surgery, and I've filled up a 70 page spiral in a week, and there is still more.

I just can't wait until I can stop daydreaming about it and go out and live it.

You will be a success and only your body changes not your brain over food yes but you learn as you move on after surgery.

I think it would be quite strange to have this gigantic of a life change and not constantly think about it. My life surrounds around WLS now. And for those of you who said they can't wait to stop obsessing over it, don't get your hopes up - my brother is 5 years out and still rather obsessed. Obsession is what will keep up successful

OK, super hero or CIA agent - maybe. But the tooth fairy - I'd look terrible in wings! LOL!!

"rny-a-thon" - I love that!! Sparklette, you just keep writing and keep on obsessing. You are going to be absolutely unstoppable and both you and your boyfriend and going to love the new you!! I think the day will come when you will cherish being able to go back and read all of your thoughts leading up to and following your journey. Good for you!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
