Allergic To Flinstones Vitamins

Recommended Posts

Please help. My 3 a day Flinstones are making me sick to my stomach and my skin is itchy all over with Patches. Any suggestions on alternative Vitamin sources. Went to dermatologist and told me I had "contact dermatitis " most likely from the vites. Please help. Need suggestions on what you all do for Vitamins. Thank you!

I take the equate chewables for kids 2x a day. They are comparable to Flinstones but may have a different active ingredient. Not sure what in them would be making you itch... Maybe try the gummy vitamins :/ that does suck though. My Vitamins to make my tummy hurt sometimes too.

Equate ... Is that the Target brand? I remember seeing those somewhere.

I was told by my surgeon that the Flintstone Vitamins are not sufficient. I take Celebrate brand multivitamins' date=' Iron and Calcium. They taste kinda like sweet tarts and work well with my pouch.[/quote']

Thank you. Where might I be able to find these?

Please make sure the gummies have Iron. I chose 1 that did not and had to take iron supplements to boost. I recently found a woman's 1 a day petite that I can handle.

I believe I went to celebratevitamins.com, however I ended up ordering from dietdirect.com because I could order a 1 month supply of the Multivitamin, Iron, and Calcium (all taste like different flavors of sweet tarts) for a little better than $49 and that got me free shipping. Direct from the Celebrste site I would have had to spend over $100 to get free shipping and I only wanted a 1 month supply to try to start. It ended up saving me about $12.95 in shipping and I ended up loving the Vitamins and they work well with my pouch. They aren't the cheapest, but I honestly believe you get what you pay for.

I take the old fashioned one a day multiples. The little round red pill, and also B complex and Calcium.< /p>

I am struggling with finding a Vitamin I can tolerate! All chewables are nasty (tried lots of different kinds) so I went to Vitamin World this weekend & found a liquid vitamin. It is so AWFUL tasting & my stomach is killing me since i drank it! And i spent $23.00 on one bottle! I may try the Celebrate chewables or one that can just be swallowed when I get to 3 months out.

I just tried Centrum chewables (adult). Way better tasting than Flinstones. Stomach was agreeable and Centrum actually has more Vitamins and minerals than Flinstones. Yay !!!!!

I take two centrum chewables a day! No problems .

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
