Trust my body is not flawless but I am very happy with how things turned out. I can wear lingerie and look sexy, I can shop anywhere and the funniest thing is my 18 year old daughter we wear the same size now and she is always in my closet (lol).

For the question of stretch marks, my sister is 5 yrs out she went from 235 to 125 her arms and thighs have hanging skin that is noticeable with stretch marks, however she is so thin in those area (and actually to me too skinny all over ) . We all have to understand we abused our bodies up til having the surgery. I have stretch marks everywhere from my upper arms down to behind my knees. You will have hanging skin, but remember do u really think it would be worse to stay obese and unhealthy ? I don't know anybody who would change going back to the way they were and I personally know at least 15 people who have had surgery

I know it's been a while since I had my surgery' date=' but it's always nice to talk / meet people that had it done. I went from a size 24 to a size 9 in 8 months.[/quote']

To anyone that has saggy skin, I have a small amount of hanging skin in the belly area, but no sagging on my legs or arms. Very little stretch marks. My doctor said I didn't have the sagging problem because I had Solid Fat. Plus I was in the gym way before I was suppose to be. I was just determined to not have the excessive skin hanging. I can wear shorts & pencil Skirts without being worried about my legs or thights. I'm not worried about my stomach I've had 5 children so I already didn't have a flat stomach.

That's great, just don't overdue it like I did. I was in the gym 2 weeks after my surgery and almost passed out. I'm very hard headed (LOL). My doctor told me that I wasn't taking in enough calories to be going to the gym to burn off calories. So I stopped then started back a month later, but in the meantime do weights on your arms (so you can build up muscle) and walk.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
