Recommended Posts

Things I'm looking forward too

1) Being able to walk around the block with out breathing like i'm in labor.

2) Being able to buy clothes in the regular ladies section and not be limited to ugly floral prints that meme's wear

3) Being able to go camping as a family. My children ask and ask but I don't want to look like a big old bear crawling out f a tent.

4) Going out to dinner and be able to sit in a bench seat and not have my belly pushing the table.

5) I want to go out dancing in a cute outfit! I have NEVER been out dancing!

6) Be alive and see my children get married and have children of their own. <3

1. Being able to sit indian style without my legs falling asleep.

2. Get to wear cute clothes

3. Go on fair rides again (being kicked off a fair ride because of my weight was the most traumatic moment in my life)

4. Not wearing cardigans every single day to hide my arms (I live in hot Florida!)

5. Have the option to start up some physical activity I'd never before consider (skateboarding, parkour)

Being able to rollerblade without feeling my heart trying to rip free for air.

Being able to be intamate without feeling like a stuffed turkey.

I am now able to run up the stairs without getting winded!

I can tie my shoes without the bow being sideways!

I can now sit in a plastic chair without my marshmallow butt pouring out the sides and back!

I still have a long way to go, but seven weeks out I'm down 249 to 199!

I don't know how I called it living fifty lbs ago. Here's to meeting our goals and taking control of our lives!

I used to love going to great America amusement park until I tried to sit in a seat but it wouldn't close. I had to get off the ride in front everybody, I thought I would die. I haven't been since that was 15 years ago. I'm looking forward to getting on my favorite roller coaster The Demon, playing with my kids, shopping in a regular store not plus size. Not taking anymore medicine

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
