I'm with you on that DL. Not sure I'll be using the vanilla anytime soon. The only vanilla I thought was ok that I've tried was from Celebrate and it's vanilla birthday cake. But after having bought a whole tub of vanilla from Pure Protein I didn't dare buy the other vanilla.

DL have you tried Syntrax Mint Cookie Protein shake? That one is pretty good although I wouldn't be able to drink it for 3 meals. It's more of a once a day or every other day. Tastes like melted mint chocolate chip ice cream. I may try to make it into Protein ice cream like Shelly does on her blog The World According to Eggface. Great blog!

I haven't tried the Syntrax but Pure Protein has a chocolate Mint shake that I think is terrific. I usually have a shake every day for Breakfast and I rotate between three - Chocolate Mint, Cookies and Cream, and Frosty Chocolate - all Pure Protein. I definitely need to check out The World According to Eggface - always looking for new ideas!!

I didn't know Pure Protein had Mint chocolate! Where did you get that flavor? I do have a Mint cookie made by Syntrax that is very good but, I like the amount of Protein in the Pure Protein shakes.

Did you get your Capella drops yet? If so what do you think?

Congrats on the surgery date!!

I think the Pure Protein chocolate Mint is new but I'm not sure how new. I haven't been able to find it on Amazon. I buy it locally at Lindberg Nutrition. Great store and great folks but they definitely ain't cheap. Just bought a twelve can case of the Choc Mint yesterday and it was $35 (compared to $22-$25 on Amazon for other flavors). I just recently bought the Pure Protein Frosty chocolate powder for the first time. It's quite good and I plan on trying to move from the shakes to the powder. Both the Frosty Chocolate and the Cookies and Cream are easy to find including Amazon. The powder cuts the cost almost in half.

I received the Capellas on Friday and tried the Double Dark Chocolate with some Coconut this weekend. I mixed it with a Pure Protein shake. It was good but I think I like the Protein Shake better without that combination. I also bought the Toasted Almond (based on your recommendation) and Cinnamon coffee Cake because it sounds delicious. Haven't used either one yet - still have lots of experimenting to do with different recipes!!

I haven't tried the double dark chocolate because I don't care for dark chocolate. I usually just put the coconut and toasted almond into my Pure Protein. I use the powdered version of the Pure Protein. Target online had the frosty chocolate and Cookies and cream on a special price of $15.99 a tub. I stocked up on the chocolate. I know the Cookies and cream went back to regular price but, the chocolate may still be on special...haven't looked recently.

So this morning for breakfast I tried the vanilla pure protein again this time adding 1 tablespoon of the PB2 w/chocolate. It actually cut the aftertaste of the whey which was great! I hate vanilla by itself but, this was good for a change.

Wow. I usually buy Pure Protein chocolate Deluxe bars at Target (in-store). They have the best price by far of anywhere I've seen. I can't believe that I never looked there (online or in-store) for the powders. Just checked it and they have the vanilla (online) for $17.27 and the frosty chocolate (in-store) for the same price. Both are two pound tubs and that is again BY FAR the best price I've seen anywhere. Think I'll pick up both and try your suggestion of the PB2 with the vanilla. Thanks so much!!

DL if you have a Target charge card or debit card you get 5% off and free shipping when you order from them online. 5% off at the stores. I ordered online and it was great to have the free shipping especially on 2 tubs of the Protein Powder when it was $15.99 or so. I like the Pure Protein Bars as well......I'll probably be using them when I'm allowed solids.

Hey Ms. Sherry! Just bought a 2 lb tub at Target yesterday for $19.88. Not as good as the $15.99 price but still a very good price. Looking forward to trying the Frosty chocolate powder with the PB2 here in the next couple of days. I'll keep you posted!!

I had never heard of blender bottles! That looks really helpful. I hate drinking chunks of Protein powder! Would they have them in a regular store like Walmart?

Yes Walmart has them by the Protein powers for just under 7 dollars.

Thank you! I will have to go find one. It seems like I'm always on the go, so this would help! I think I'll pick up some Protein powder since I'm passing by target tonight. I looked at the capella drops site and was amazed at the flavor selection! Thank you everyone for the tips!

I bought mine at a grocery store called Winco but just by coincidence today I saw the exact same one at CVS pharmacy in the aisle with the kitchen supplies.

My guess is you can get them just about anywhere.

Here's a picture

I just remembered I have one of these. I need to start using it.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
