Carole, funny that you ask. I'm 62 and have severe fibromyalgia,so excersizing is really a hard thing to do cuz of the pain.

Before my sleeve, Aug. 19, I used Leslie Sansone DVD's cuz she has so many to choose from depending on what level you need. My favorite is gentle and covers 1 mile in about 20 minutes. The 2nd mile is just a littler friskier, but doable. It's called "Walk Away The Pounds"...mile 1 is Get Up and get Started...mile 2 is High Calorie Burn. Amazon has tons of them as we'll as her web site, but I isle Amazon.

Just started a Zumba Chair class and it was fun and that's about my only out of the house excercise. Hoping to start swimming, but have to drive about 45 minutes to get to community college pool. Oh, we'll...one day at a time. Good luck to you.

There's a lady who has a show on PBS at 5 am CST. She does chair exercises. Her name is Mary Ann Wilson and her show is called "Sit and Be Fit." I also have her DVD.

I love the idea of Zumba chair. I'm gonna have to check that out.

If anyone is rolling her eyes about SIT AND BE FIT, it looks innocuous enough, but is quite a workout.

Hi Carole,

If you have access to a community pool or other club that offers aerobic exercise, try it. Even if you don't swim, the shallow pool will be fine. There are a few people in my class who don't swim. I've been doing it since summer and it's fantastic. It doesn't hurt and you have total freedom of movement.

Just google "seated exercises for seniors" and there will be a lot of Utube videos that come up. Some of them are 30 min. long and seem to work well for me. I have a bad knee that needs replacement, so walking much is out of the question. The pool is helpful for me, but it's still a tad cold, even here in Florida for that...maybe next month.

Try some tai chi for beginners. I find them easy to do and they are good for your balance and mild stretching. It's easy on the joints, too. I bought some DVDs from eBay and Amazon, scroll past the introductory instruction on each movement after learning them, and just do 15-20 minutes.

I found that the stiffness from arthritis and fibro were better after doing this every other day for a few weeks. Balance is better, too!

I have walk aerobics tapes by Leslie Sansone. She has one for seniors that I will do when I can as I am less than two weeks out from my surgery. You do the walking in your home.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
