I had Dr Jon Armstrong. He was at Hollywood hospital

Do you need to do a preop diet?

I'm not sure I went and seen him yesterday and they said they will send out my paper work and appointment for dietitian

My surgeon is dr dolan in nedlands

I know how you feel sams1972

I'm booked into the Mount private hospital on the 9th of December you will have to let us no what hospital you will be going into and date

The waiting to even start the preop was terrible! But then it goes so quickly. From hospital to recovery to soft foods and now to anything. It's gone so quickly for me. But it was only a few months ago that I was in your shoes.

I found preop fantastic because I came out of it not craving sugars or carbs and even now I've been able to curb that with the occasional indulgence.

I think the most uncomfortable is other people watching me eat and sometimes run to the bathroom to slime (throw up)

Some family can't handle how little I eat and coming from a big Italian family food is everything. Food is now do far from my mind I now eat for energy and because its good for me not for anything else.

It is such a freeing feeling

That's what I want for food to be about powering my body. How much have you lost and how's it all going?

I've lost 22kg since August 6.

I've had to get new clothes because nothing fits anymore.

I have so much energy for everything and one of the first things my husband noticed was pretty much a week after being sleeved I stopped snoring and breathing heavily at night.

And things just keep getting better. Except for my boobies getting smaller (hshahahaha)

Hello, my name is Gail. I'm from Adelaide, I'm in surgery on Nov 4th, I'm on pre-op now, amazed at how it does curb your sugar intake. I've enjoyed reading your posts and I'm hoping I can become an honorary member of your thread! No one in Adelaide seems very interested....

Hi ladies, I just had my surgery at Mercy hospital with Dr Cohen on Thursday and was released Saturday afternoon. Everything is going good so far, just trying to get all of my protein in. It gets easier day by day and I'm just so excited for the future. I booked tickets to Bali for 6months time as motivation. :)

I got my sleeve date today! 12th December :-) so super excited
