Ok, well here is my confession. On my birthday 9/28, I had a party I ate taco salad with tortilla chips, 1 chicken wing, had 2-4oz glasses of wine. Then last week I had pizza with sausage and cheese but it was frozen pizza so I cut it up in small squares and I ate 5 squares. I had a glass of white wine last night. Whooooo that feels good to get off my chest. Oh and the watermelon kick I have been on and it is so good and cold. I doctor told me no more due to the natural sugar in it.

Darn it, y'all. Am I supposed to experience guilt? I haven't felt guilty once when I have made a poor food choice. I have seen it as my trial and error plan to see what I can tolerate and what may be off limits. I don't plan to "diet" my life away but to modify my portions, my intake order and my choices. I haven't had any major over sized portion problems yet but I have thrown up several times when "I chose poorly". Buffets with family are murder for me. Even if I stay focused on better choices and tiny servings I still over do and urp as a result (yes, I have done it twice now). I don't want a life of depravation. I don't think I have to have one with my sleeve as my helper. I try to "respect the pouch" and it tries to keep me on the straight and narrow. So far, so good. Bad choices and all.

I don't plan to "diet" my life away but to modify my portions, my intake order and my choices. Well said...

This is how I feel as well....I am not going to follow this as if it were a failed diet again. This is the rest of my life...Some days are good some not so good...But I eat much better then I ever have in my life...not to mention a lot less.....I feel fine about how I am doing it and if that changed..Then I would be on another diet that will definitely fail me...I cannot take the chance...I am learning to eat healthier and I read the back of everything I buy now...I have changed a lot over the last 11 months..I find it fascinating and fun to read labels now..i have no problem putting it back if it does not meet my personal needs or goals....

Spent the rest of the afternoon NPO except Water and fought to keep the few bites inside my stomach.. NEVER FRIGGIN AGAIN!!! That was the worst feeling..the most pain in the world.Iswear it was worse then being in labour!

Okay slightly off topic (and knowing me, I'll be breaking a million rules by posting), but this will be coca-cola's dirty, not so 'little' secret if they go ahead with it. If any of you feel so inclined please have a look at the following, sign and promulgate.

For those that are against, indifferent to this cause; no need to comment or kick up a fuss. Please just walk on by.

Many thanks

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
