I will say that I was happier believing the sleeve would keep me from eating bread or sweets by giving me a miserable upset stomach. It was nice to think that success was less about willpower and more about a purely physical inability to tolerate something. Knowing that it's mostly up to me is disconcerting.

That said, I didn't enjoy any of the wine I had in Paris, I swear!

OK...I have just read every post on this topic and as usual I have learned a lot. I am only 2 weeks & 3 days out from my surgery however, when I get to a point that I feel comfortable with it I am sooooo havin' beer, McFnDonald's French fries, a piece of pizza, a cheeseburger, cheese sticks, chocolate something, coke zero with a straw, lasagna, and a piece of red velvet cake, maybe not on the same day but I'm having it all eventually! Till then I'm just gonna sip my Water and shut up!

This is the best thread yet! I have had all these thoughts and have even told myself Erica you wont cheat when deep down I know I will slip up from time to time. I haven't even had my surgery and yet the thoughts of eating what I clearly am not allowed to have makes me feel like a cheater. But I will stand accountable for my thoughts. This thread opens the eyes to the ones that haven't had their surgery yet and shows us all people struggle no matter what the cause. I wish all the struggles would leave us all but God has a strange sense of humor sometimes....lol! I hope I can avoid the cravings......but if not I to will come to this thread and confess!!! this should have been named Confession Room

Good for you for making the choose to become a loser, this is my advice. Slowly start cutting out the things you binge on and the liquid will be easier to conquer. But yes we all are human and will cheat. Good luck

Would you really have to puree it much? Maybe just the crust would have be pureed. Mmmm.cheesecake.....

Besides fresh sourdough, cheesecake could be my downfall.

This thread made me feel better. I'm five months out. Last Sunday I had a ten inch pizza, loaded with sausage, pepperoni, and grease. It took many hours to eat and by the end of it I was feeling very uncomfortable, but I was afraid if I didn't finish it then I'd eat it in the days to come. I still can't bring myself to throw away pizza, don't seem right.

Let's see, I do something downright dirty most weeks. But it's worst when I visit my parents' house which is filled with junk that they don't even eat, it's just there for their kids. And as their child I was doing my duty. Let's see, a pack or Ritz crackers one day, hmm, two pop tarts on another. So last week I thought I'd solved the problem by bringing Pork rinds to their house and eating my own snack.< /p>

And now I see they don't even count. Man.

Oh god, that hiding a bag thing speaks to me ... much too loudly.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
