Anyone else doing them? How frequently? I had one nurse tell me once a week was sufficient and another say one can do them up to every three days. How many cc/ml do you pop each time?

I am pre-sleeve but already have lower B12. I had to do one shot a week for 4 weeks and then once a week afterwards. Not sure if you've had one yet, but I'm a big baby when it comes to shots and these are easy. The nurse calls them Kool-Aid shots.

I've had two so far. Not sure of the dosage. One was pre-op and the second was this Monday. I think I noticed more of a difference this time (post some weight loss).

you can get Patches, too. http://www.b12patch.com/. I haven't tried it but maybe others here have.

Hmm thanks for the responses guys. Seems you can vary the amount of dosages a lot. I had my boyfriend and bestie tag me thus far. I don't think I could do it to myself. They both seem to derive a weird pleasure out of helping me out lol. My friend said "wow its just like butter going in!" heheh She did a way better job with less bruising than my bf.

The nurse post op told me that with the melts/pills you don't absorb as much. *shrugs* could have just been his opinion.

Lol kool aid shots. That's pretty accurate. Where did you get yours? Ive had them do upper butt/side hip fleshy region and barely feel anything. :)

Mine go in alternating arms. I see others do theirs at home but my docs office is up the road and I just run in once a month.

From what I understand it helps with energy levels and can help prevent some hair loss. Pre op I was getting a fair amount of it in energy drinks and powders but been focusing on Water more now and the whole no carbonation thing. I forget what foods it occurs in naturally.

I got mine with all my scripts from the hospital. I bet you can find them on Amazon or something.

Usually once a month injection. But it will depend on your lab results. If its low, it can be 2 x a month.

My dr wanted me to do these but the cost was 240.00 a month....WITH insurance ( over 400. Without). Sooo. I do the mega B12 dots 5000 mcg each. Like 12 bucks for 60 tablets. Once or twice a week.and my b12 level was actually high on my 3 month check

I get 1 ml every 2 weeks. My hubby gives me the shot in my arm. I can definitely tell when it's time for my shot. My energy level goes down and I'll find myself yawning in the middle of the day.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
