Anyone know if this is a secret group? I've only told a few folks I'm having surgery don't want this showing up my my groups list or comments.

I just got the call that my paperwork was submitted to insurance today!!! The waiting game begins... My coordinator says that they usually wait 7 business days before they follow up with insurance so I'm on pins and needles. That will be Nov. 1st. You can bet though, that I'll be calling my insurance on Monday just to make sure they got it! I'm not patient!!!

I'm really hoping to be a member of the Nov. club, but I'm thinking I'll likely be a Dec or Jan sleever... :(

If its any encouragement...my stuff was submitted via fax to BCBS of Tx on the 15th, and I was approved by the 21st (they faxed approval to my surgeon's office), and we scheduled my surgery on the 22nd (yesterday!) I did call my insurance on the 18th to be sure they got everything. I recommend doing that just to be sure they received it and no time is wasted! I'm scheduled for November 6th! Keep us updated on your progress! I know it's pretty much impossible to be patient! ;)

11/12/13 Michigan

Hey there Wolverine Girl!

My surgery is 11.12.13 as welll! Where are you having yours done? Mine's in GR with GHP. Perhaps we can keep tabs on one another since we are going through this at the same time.

I start my pre-op diet next Tuesday. It's pre-packaged food and Snacks that equate to between 800-900 calories per day. I'm getting nervous and excited!

Take care,

Susan.

Hey there. I had the same concerns, but I joined the group anyway. I logged in as my husband to see if would show and it did show "recent groups" that I had joined. So I left the group until I can figure out privacy settings so that no one can see the group. It's a very active group and it seems to provide a lot of valuable information but I only plan on sharing this information with those closest to me and not my "68 friends" on FB.

If anyone knows of the settings I need to apply for it not to show at all to anyone, please let me know. I;d like to re-join but only if it is truly private and confidential.

Susan.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
