Well my Dr office submitted the paperwork Monday 9/16, I hope to hear something by Friday

I have the same insurance. From what I have heard from other people with our plan they normally get approved within two or three days of the paperwork being submitted. My paperwork is going forward on the 1st of Oct. Please update and let me know how long your approval process takes.

Mine was approved quickly.

This wait is killing me, I called bcbs and they said they are still working on it and see if there is a real necessity for the operation.

I am BCBS federal basic and it took me about 6-7 days to hear something . I think I called every day from day 5 onward. They will tell you, even if they haven't had a chance to notify the doctor yet.
