Things I will NOT miss about being fat.

  • Popular Post

I am writing these things down, because I am sure there will be times early post op when I wonder "why did I do this?"

This is why:

1. Having to shop from a limited clothing selection. Eff you , size 20, you suck.

2. The feeling of my fat middle squooshing out when I sit down.

3. swolly feet

4. Feeling like the fattest person in the room

5. Being the fattest person in the room

6. Feeling invisible

7. Feeling self conscious and size conscious

8. My stomach touching the table in a restaurant booth

9. Not fitting comfortably in a movie theatre seat

10. Looking at myself in pictures

11. Feeling ugly

12. Body aches, knee aches, hip aches

13. shoes that used to fit, and now are too tight

14. Low energy

15. Not turning heads

16. Looking in the mirror naked

17. clothes that no longer fit.

18. Not being able to wear my rings

19. Being afraid to run into people I haven't seen in a while

20. Not feeling pretty

Ok, I only wrote 20. I'm sure there are more. Help me out. Why do you never want to go back?

I echo all of the above, and would add: * going to any doctor's office and the nurse takes one look and says, "hang on, I'll have to get the large cuff for you."

  • I will not miss: 1. Not being able to cross my legs 2. Being out of breath walking up stairs 3. Not being able to bend over to tie my shoes 4. Not getting on rides with my son because I'm afraid

  • Avoiding water parks with my daughter because I'm too fat Not doing outdoorsy things because I need to stay "covered up" Being offered unsolicited advice about how to lose weight Being the "fat

For me it's not having many pictures with my small children because I was so embarrassed and disgusted by how I looked.

1. I want to chase my grandbabies.

2. I want to cross legs.

3. I want to shop in the same store, same department with my mom and my friends.

3a. I want to wear my mom's clothes...they never go out of style.

4. I want to zipline and ride a roller coaster.

5. I want to renew my vows and my husband can pick me up.

5a. Be gone with wind fabulous(KenyaMoore-RHOA)!

6. I want to crossfit and develop a slightly muscular body at my age.

7. I want to be a certified Zumba instructor.

8. Continue to love me no matter what.

9. Tell the GOOD LORD, thank you for what you've done for me!

I used to say that my clothing size resembled a porn rating! LOL

There are so many things that I take for granted now that I didn't realize I couldn't do until I COULD do them - ie. crossing my legs, moving quickly when I need to, bending over to tie my shoes ...

Those of you that are about to have surgery, or have just had it - you have SO MUCH to look forward to!!

Being able to fit into a booth. Buy clothes without paying an arm and a leg. Shoes that fit. The ability to look at myself in the mirror. A mom and Mimi that my kids and grandkids can be proud of. And my biggest goal, my husband the ability to throw me over his shoulders...LOL

Not having to change my clothes in the bathroom before bed so my hubby doesn't see me naked.

Not having to run from the camera every time someone wants to take a picture.

And yes not wearing boots because they don't fit over my calfs.

I did go zip line in jamica and I can't stand looking at the pics they took it's so horriying, not to mention the special red harness myself and the other "big girl" goat to wear.

I didn't go to my daughters school meeting today because they moved it into the classroom where they havwv those old fashioned desks that the cair and tabletop are connected, I knew I wouldn't fit. Who should have to worry about that stuff?

They sale them at lane Bryant... They are like a girdle type thing... Hold everything... They look like they are for a child them you stretch them and put them on hahahaha I would sweat just getting the damn things on!

Ok..no...anything that makes me have to work up a sweat to put it on is a OH HELL NO. I just wanna wear something that fits, not something two sizes too big cuz I have so much fat to hide.

Just FYI the real spanx the expensive ones ($70) are actually easy to get on and pretty comfy, just smooths out the cottage cheese. Lol
