August sleevers progress

Recommended Posts

Oh my! I'm glad that you found out and I hope that you pass it soon! And hopefully less painful!

Ended up having surgery today they removed it. No longer in pain. It was by far the worst pain I've ever felt on my life. The woman next to me was there for bypass complications but has had kidney stones thee times before... Said child birth was better... I tried laughing when she told me but I was in too much pain...

I'm just glad it's over.

Uhhhh let's see....

Starting Weight (Jan 2013) 322

Pre op weigh in: 310

Day of surgery: 300

Current: 282

I lost a majority in the first 6 days post op, I've stayed within the same 2-3# over the last 2 weeks and it's making me absolutely crazy. Frustrating to say the least.

I was having the same problem. I lost 24 pounds the first week after surgery then had a three week stall. Two days ago I started losing again finally. Hang in there it will end soon!

33 y/o female

5'1"

HW: 235

Surgery date: 223

Current (9/17): 210

I had a difficult hiatal hernia repair, which has been my biggest challenge. My esophagus feels tight when trying to advance to solid foods. Still feeling tired, but averaging 50gms of Protein a day and 400-500 cal/day. I am having lots of sliming- totally didn't expect that! Mostly I'm just embarrassed to spit into napkins in public. Lots of gas and I saw on another thread that someone had used the phrase "urinarting"! LOL! That about sums it up! Overall, very happy that I had the sleeve!

Oh my goodness, I'm glad it's over for you thankfully I have not had gas anything like it was before this week over the last couple days and I hope it remains that way! Wishing you a speedy recovery!!

Hey everyone! Sleeved on 8/15 and have been doing really well. However, the past 3 days I feel like I have hit a brick wall. Headaches, weak, fatigued, etc. I'm working out pretty hard so maybe I'm just overdoing it? Anyone else had a rough week 5 and/or 6?

Thanks!

I'm at week five and I'm starting to get the headaches and dizzy and tired all the time.I take my B12 twice a day now and my surgeon said either back off some of the exercise or eat more calories. I can't eat any more so I'm working out an hour a day now. I'm starting to feel better :)

I thought I had gas too and it ended up being a clot between my stomach and liver. If the pain doesn't stop' date=' please see your surgeon! A CT scan quickly found my clot.

[/quote']

What did they do about the clot?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
