I received my approval letter today from BCBS Fed (Yay!!) but I'm kinda confused by the verbiage. It states:

"We have reviewed the preauthorization request for INPATIENT CARE and authorized it as medically necessary. This authorization is effective for the service we've defined above."

The part that confuses me is the INPATIENT CARE part. Does that mean the WLS? I'll call BCBS on Monday to confirm, but for now, I just wanted to see what others experiences were.

That's for an overnight stay. Outpatient is non-overnight. :-). Congrats!!

Let your surgeons office worry about all of this. I never had anything to do with the insurance and my dr's office took care of it all.
