Hi everybody! Not maybe complaints beyond gas and drain site! I've been allowed ice chips..and it has been a blessing! Using dilaudid when necessary. Gas is a pain..I have been belching but not from the right end! :-). Day one complete..may we all recover well!

I have had gas pain, and pain in my neck as well. My throat is a little sore from the breathing tube. I am doing well I was walking all over the hospital. I am home now and doing well. I only have 3 holes, they didn't do the liver biopsy because it looked great. The took my stomach out of my belly button, and I have a hole in each side of my belly button. I am excited for what is to come and wondering how long it will be before I can drive!

I have the same gas pain as everyone, 6 incisions and they each are extremely sore and painful. I've been taking pain killers which seem to help a little bit, and drinking liquids is much harder than I thought. This isn't as easy as I thought it would be...

Hey ..how is everyone doing with getting fluids and Protein in so far? I feel like I need to wake up so early to start!

It's tough. So far I've had one 16 ounce bottle of Water and 1 cup of broth today. I'm not sure if it's nausea or pain, but even little sips don't feel great going down. I haven't taken any pain meds, nausea meds or Gas-X today. I just didn't want to mask anything today to see how I'd do. Probably stupid, but I'll find out as the day goes on.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
