For my fellow vets - has anyone tried to revert back to post-op style eating (600cals,>30g carbs, <60gprotein) with any success?

GT - is reverse 5:2 going to be safe for you given your limited access to high quality nutritional food sources? You would probably need to also consider increased supplementation of Vitamins and minerals, but again, your deployment may make it difficult to source them consistently.

Here is a short discussion on reverse 5:2 after a very quick search:

Do you think doing a reverse 5:2 will be safe for you?

I hope and pray I don't get "cyber stoned" for what I'm about to say...I come in here often, but I don't post or respond as often as I used too. Matter of fact ill probably be deleting my account soon. For ME PERSONALLY...I find it hard to subscribe to the whole 5:2, pouch test, cottage cheese test and whatever other methods or "resetting" our sleeves. I'm almost 10 months out...down 140 (my ticker is not updated) and actually at my personal goal. For the past 5-6 months I've been closely following the weightloss journeys of 2 phenomenal women..JEANETTE COLANTONIO and NATASHA COLEMAN on Facebook. These woman both were over 400 lbs and have lost and MAINTAINED over 250 lbs each without surgery. They both have been featured on talkshows, magazines, etc. But here's the thing...they are just like us! Tried and failed countless timed at fad diets, pills, other quack weightloss remedies. They are both wived and mothers with busy hectic lives. They are you...they are me....but they have REGULAR sized stomachs. They had no fancy tricks or secrets yo there weight loss...just clean eating, Portion Control and good ole fashion exercise. So when you start to get discouraged about your sleeve or "stalls"(I hate that word)...check out their facebook pages. I PERSONNALLY am convinced "resetting your sleeve" is not as effective as jusy staying the course being consistent with your eating and exercise. Once health becomes your main focus and not numbers on a scale...this lifestyle will become second nature and the scale WILL MOVE. :-)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
