I was sleeved on July 31st. I'm down 25 pounds, but the scale has not moved in almost two weeks. I'm so frustrated because I know I'm not overeating by any means. If anything I might not be eating enough. I'm drinking a 20 oz bottle of Isopure with 40 grams of Protein everyday. I'm not drinking enough Water and wondering if this could be the cause. Has anyone else had this long of a stall this early on?

Stall's are common and you shouldn't let them get you all bent out of shape. That being said the 2 most important things are Water and Protein. You need to be getting a minimum of 64 oz of water a day or you will have problems, personally I drink 128oz a day. And protein should be a minimum of 70 grams a day, or more accurately is to figure out your weight in kilograms(pounds/2.2) and take that x 0.8 or 1.0 to give you your proper amount of protein in grams to start. Good Luck.

Thank you so much for your response Sleeve Master! I'm going to try to kick-up the Water and Protein and see where it takes me. :)

I'm in the same boat. I was sleeved a few days after you were and I lost about 25 lbs the first two weeks but have been stuck for a week and a half. I'm definitely not getting the Water intake I need so I'm trying to step that up as well

I was stalled from week 2 to about week 10. I am now 11 weeks and finally the scale moved another 10 lbs. I did lose inches so I decided I'd be okay with whatever my body did.

My suggestions: eat/drink at least 80-90 g Protein daily, try to work your Water up to at least 64 oz. avoid carby foods/drinks. I know it is tough but trust that your body is doing what it's supposed to.

Good luck to you guys!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
