Wait you're already on purées? Omg! I had to two liquids for 2 weeks after my surgery. I get that lodged food feeling if I eat too fast or don't chew well....

Yes we had to be able to hold down pureed food in order to leave the hospital. I think I'm going to stick with liquids for 2 more weeks bc though I haven't thrown up yet, it doesn't feel like its going down well. I still feel uncomfortable from yesterday. Even these pain pills lodged in my throat. It's too much.

I'm doing okay with the food, it's the liquids that I'm having a problem with. They hurt so much going down! Will it get better? I can't imagine how I'm going to get my liquids in each day when it's this painful!

It's crazy how differently everyone is affected. How is your gas pain? Tanisha gave me a few packages of the syntrex Protein. It is SO much better.

My gas pain is terrible, it stuck in my right shoulder. I had to sleep sitting up in a chair last night bc it was so bad. Glad you like the Syntrax, I find it so much easier to tolerate then the others. Did she give you t he info for he website to order more? I got it like the day after I ordered.

I would love to get the website. I can't imagine drinking the other Protein now, it's too thick.

It's Nashua Nutrition. They had sample size packets also so that you can try different flavors. If you like Peanut Butter, the Peanut Butter cookie is really good.

FYI-this heating pad seems to be helping the gas pains a bit, you might want to give it a try.

I got up around 4:20AM and my husband walked me around the block. I walked for about 10-12 min then I took 1/4 of a Percocet. I felt good enough to go back to sleep. I got up around 8 and washes some dishes that were in the sink and cleaned the kitchen table. I just cleaned what I could reach. I ate a Calcium chew (yuck). I'm trying to get down an ounce of Protein Water down right now. Then eventually try to get a Multivitamin down then a prepsid and that other pill my doc prescribed (huge capsules to prevent gall stones). I still have gas, but its manageable for now.

Wow, I'm jealous... I'm still in bed! They didn't say anything to me about taking Pepcid, weird. As for the gallstones I had my gallbladder out 2 years ago. I'm going to try some Breakfast soon. Maybe an egg, I'll let you know how it goes.

There are just so many pills to take between Vitamins, pepsid, and the gall stone medicine, idk how I'll get it all down. I'm really nursing this Water. It's taking me about 20 min to get an ounce down. My stomach feels very uncomfortable.

I had to (and still do) crush all my pills...put the crushed pill in applesauce like 1/2 an ounce, makes it Sooo much easier to take.

I'm doing well, getting in about 60grams of Protein a day, not able to drink Water but drinking plenty of sugar free stuff like G2 with no problem. As of today I'm down 24lbs from the first day of my preop diet on 8/22. I'm a bit tired and my large incision is sore but other then that I'm doing really well.

Anna how are you doing?

I'm doing so-so. I haven't been able to get enough Protein and liquids in. I can nibble a little tuna with light mayo. I've been mostly drinking Soup broth. Today I felt very weak. I didn't know it was bc I was hungry or dehydrated. I learned that it was the latter towards 9pm and sipped on some pineapple juice which made me feel a lot better. I walk and try to stay active most of the day, maybe I overdo it sometimes with the cleaning, I don't know. I'm sitting on the slow losers bench I think. From preop on 8/22 until now I lost 11.7 lbs. I stalled for 3 days from 9/2-9/4.

Maybe you're doing too much, can you take a day to just sit around and relax?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
