For years I wanted to go to a Yoga class. Yesterday I attended my first class! I was able to hang for the whole class. So I was beyond thrilled! Afterwards my sister and I walked on the treadmill for a couple miles and spent some time on the stepper too. We finished up with a healthy fruit Protein smoothie from the gym's bar to celebrate! Can't wait to try Zumba and Pilates!!! Loving this sleeved life! Blessings!

I just read that my local recreation center will begin offering Yoga soon. I am like THE most unflexible person with two left feet..so I am a bit afraid to try. But I do remember a time in my life when I could do backbends and backwalkovers..so I would love to get back to that point :)

I am going back Tuesday. Was challenging and made me sweat, which surprised me. But it relaxed me too which was wonderful. Definitely adding this tool to my arsenal.

I say go for it if it is ok with your doctor. It is go at your pace. If you can't do the poses, then you have rest positions. Try it. Let me know how it goes!

im 2 days away from surgery, I tried yoga on a program on our smart TV for the first time last week. (im 16 lbs down since starting the pre-op diet & was feeling accomplised!) Ive always wanted to try yoga but im not that flexible & steady! I tried it & liked it. I want to try again post op & compare it to preop, to see how far Ive come. I can't wait. Ive looked into the DDP Yoga, which is supposed to be for anyone...I dont think I'd want to go to a studio for a long while yet.....good job fellow yoga girls!

Girl - I SO wish you lived in Columbia so that we could go do Yoga together. I used to go all the time and absolutely loved it till health wouldn't allow it. Now I'm ready to go back but have no one to go with.....I know...I know....get off my hiney and go by myself!! BUT it would be so much more fun with someone like you to hang out with!

Hey all, I love yoga as well. I found a yoga student that is a couple months shy of receiving her license and she needed to practice and she has been great. It's like have personal yoga trainer. We have been taking advantage of the nice weather in in VA so we hold classes in the park and it is wonderful.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
