Yasmina I love your name! It is arabic right, is that what your origin is? I named my daughter Aneesa which is arabic and I loved the meaning of the name, it means "loyal friend".

Thanks guys for the support, This is pretty much the only place I get it.

Carmen thinks if he aviods talking about it , my surgery date will come and go and I will not have it done. I have brought it up at least 5 times in the past week since the date was set, " he can't talk about it because it stresses him out" Well havingmore then one ass stress me out !

Thank you about the name, My first name is actually Vian, only a few people call me that. I am Ukrannian, kind of a Arabic want a be. I have been studying the language and dance ( Belly dance for several years. That is when I decided to go by my middle name. Love the culture, and of course the dark men LOL.

I love your daughter's name Aneesa, very pretty !

I love to Belly Dance ,the music the movements the was you learn to isolate muscles, it is great. We have a troupe and we dance 5 nights a week. Every three months we travel to Toronto to perfect our technique . That is one of the main reasons while we are going to Egypt. For the dance ? costumes.

Yes mandi , I cook for my dog. I don't have children so she is like my child who I have turned into a spoiled princeness. I live in Thunder Bay, amd it gets pretty cold, well she will not go pee outside without sweater, jacket and boots. I do thie because I do not want pee inside ! LOL At 6 a.m. it really sucks ! :notagree

Tres Chic,

Are you flying in to the clinic? or are you from the Toronto area ?

I live in Toronto, so thankfully, there's no travelling. I have to say, I'm getting pretty nervous now. I'm sleeping about 4 hours a night and having some epic dreams! How about you?

I got a call fro TLBC and they moved my surgery up from 12.30 to 11.00. Guess they don't want to miss lunch !

I will now have less time to be stressed over it, as I arrive in Toronto at 8a.m. and by the time I get down town and check into the hotel, it will be time to go there. OH MY GOD. There has got to be drugs for this ! LOL

Carmen gets that pleasue, but princess Breana gets pissy when I go away; and like any good Bision Frise holds a big grudge. Will not go outside unless fully clothed ( jacket sweater, boots ) and even then ,may not pee outside if you are rushing her. She sits her little bum down and will do anything until back inside where she will pee on the nearest throw rug. Have a great weekend Carmen ! LOL

I was told that Vitamin E was the best thing to put on the scar to help it heal . How long do I have to wait to do this ?

I was told to wait ten days before I take off the strips.

I just don't want an infection ! ;)

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
