I was told to smash it on a cutting board.

Pill crusher. Try a pharmacy?

Some people put them between spoons and do it that way. I have a mortar and pestle so i will be using that.

My hubs bought me a crusher similar to the one pictured above at Walgreens. Just put the pill in and twist the top on and pill crushed! I have to crush mine for 3 months so it was a good investment.

I am 10 days out from the surgery, and don't need to crush pills. I only have to split one of them, but the small ones go right down. I can swallow capsules too. Am I being unwise not to crush pills?

My doc said to crush my pills for 4 weeks. I'm a doctor-listener. I found a pill splitter at Target, but no crusher. On my way to Walgreens!! Thanks!!

This may be a dumb question, but once you crush it, what do you do? Put it in a small container of Water and drink it? Am I the only person who is actually scared of drinking this horrible-tasting stuff? What a baby I am.

I read two tablespoons of Water (or crystal light) and the crushed pill. I know it sounds nasty, but it's a small sacrifice for the huge gift we are getting!!

I did it this afternoon - crushed, mixed with a couple tablespoons of Vitamin Water Zero lemonade flavor. Definitely not good, but two tablespoons was do-able. I did have a small gulp when I put a bit of water into the cup to get the remnants, and I felt it in my chest. But nothing came back up.

I just take the whole pill, I found no matter how I do it crush it, half, and etc I still feel like crap after taking my meds. It makes me feel sick for a hour or so after.

I'm going to crush all of them together so I only have to do it once. If all else fails, I'll just cut. Those crushers also make it hard to get all the powder out of them. What an adventure!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
