Sleevers by profession.

My first post here, been reading for months. Seems a lot of people posting are in the medical field. I thought it would be cool to hear what fellow sleevers do for a living.

The wife and I are both Respiratory Therapists here in Michigan. I am just starting this journey with my 8 hour information seminar ( pre-op ) scheduled for later this month. My better half was sleeved the end of April. She is doing awesome. Down 84 lbs total including the pre-op weight loss.

Im so excited to get my life back after getting this incredible weight loss tool.

Hope to hear from you guys.

I'm a medical biller in NY' date=' Long Island specifically. I wanted to be a nurse for a long time but I don't deal well with blood haha.[/quote']I'm in Long Island too!
Hi Everyone' date=' I work for a fortune 500 company in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, as a Quality Manager, PMP and a Six Sigma Black Belt freak/geek, working towards my 6-Sigma Master Black Belt certification. I support Public Safety two way radios and the networking systems that make them work. I get to travel all over the world visiting my suppliers and customers which has been very exciting....(Germany, Mexico, Malaysia, Singapore, Asia, Brazil) to name various international cool places I've been fortunate enough to visit. I traveled almost everywhere in the US. I started my career as a software engineer, then a Network Administrator and it's been a fantastic ride so far!![/quote']

Good luck. I earned my MBB years ago while working at GE. Six Sigma kind of makes you look at things in a whole new way doesn't it? I look at most things analytically, which drives my wife crazy at times

I am an Executive Assistant for a company that owns 22 quick service restaurants in the Birmingham, AL area. I am just over two months post op and down about 50 lbs.

Congratulations and best wishes to everyone on your new journey!!

I review/audit medical charts for the Federal Government. I'm in my first of three months of supervised diet and nutrition. I'm hoping for a January surgery date.

Sadly, I'm unemployed. Gladly, it started right before my surgery, so I've had some nice time off during recovery.

But usually I'm an editor/website manager. And a jewelry designer (the hobby that took over more than 40 hours a week of my life! ;))

I am a software consultant specializing in implementation and administration of construction management software. When not on my "day job" I am also a wife, mother and grandmother. I love my job(s) although for years I have said I aspire to be a professional consumer (can you say shopaholic?)!

That's awesome. GE and Motorola put 6-Sigma on the map. I should become an MBB by the end of this year. 6-Sigma truly makes you look at everything in life in a different matter. I went as far as incorporating 6-Sigma to improve my golf swing. I used control charts to help me identify unstable performance in my golf scores, scores per hole for 2 years. I created check sheets to determine where my drives went, (left, center, or right). I even went as far as documenting a fish bone for my putting and drives. I went from shooting in the 100's to shooting in the upper 80's.

With Lean now being a major part of 6-Sigma, I've also been incorporating Lean concepts in my everyday life, getting ride of waste making my personal time more efficient everyday and incorporating 5S in my garage has made wonders!!

Ha! I've 5S'd my house and use the Lean concepts at home as well. We used both at my last job at Boston Scientific.

Hi folks. I work in the financial industry as a senior software engineer primarily specializing in software to help all businesses file their financial documents to the country reporting regulator (eg SEC in US' date=' HMRC in UK, MCA in India, SVS in India, etc). Needless to say, I get to work with customers from many global companies in many different time zones and country languages. Love it![/quote']

I work for HMRC in the UK. No....wait....we're not all bad :-)

5S'd your house? Oh my husband would probably commit me at that point! Lol! But something tells me your household runs pretty efficiently!

I am currently a stay at home mom of three ages 6 to 16. I do a lot of volunteering both at the elementary school my two youngest attend and also with the Plymouth area coalition for the homeless (we put homeless men up in local churches for about six months a year' date=' feeding them dinner and making sure there are always two chaperones with them). I was previously a preschool teacher with a short stint in a toddler room and was also an infant teacher. Would love to go back to school for social services. Sleeved August 28 down 32 lbs as of this morning[/quote']

I have made it a requirement that all of my directs at the VP level go through Six Sigma and get at least a Green Belt. I find that it has greatly improved efficiencies in my division. I work for a financial firm in the fortune 40 and the company has really adopted the principles. I use it for most things in my professional and personal, which as I said previously sometimes drive my wife insane. She is an analytical minded person but draws the line at somethings.

Maybe I need to use the methodology to improve my tennis game. Good luck on getting your MBB and on your journey.
