June 2012 sleevers check in!

Recommended Posts

How are things going? I've been at my personal weight goal for three months. 130 or so. Working on figuring out how many calories to eat to not loose anymore. Been playing around w 1490 cals a day and eating back some of my exercised burned cals too.

Been going to gym 3-4 times a week and doing my at home morning workout routines too. Love my sleeve. I've lost 145 pounds! I had sleeve surgery 6/11/12.

Wow that's awesome. I'm still not at my goal haven't lost anything since January. What's your daily caloric intake? I've read numerous post to maintain 1000 calories per day and to lose 800 calories per days.

Well its good to see I'm not the only one. I'm 10 months out 60 lbs lost. I have been starved lately I feel like I have stretched my sleeve. :(

I haven't been working out or measurei.g in months and I have been the same wright as the result.

I did low carb diet thus week and I lost five pounds!

But another issue we just started trying to conceive again. Not sure if that's smart but I'm not getting in younger.

Idk.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
