Yes, I have an appt with my surgeon on Monday. Finished all my consults, now I go see him on Monday and then have to wait the insurance. I'm scared to death they won't cover it. I think they are the most nerve wracking. Good Luck with your date!!!

I'm here with you. I just completed my last month on the supervised diet that my insurance required me to do. Now I'm just waiting to be seen by my surgeon and the insurance decision. I'm soooooo nervous that the insurance company will deny me as well. But I'm hopeful.

I am playing the waiting game as well... My surgeons office just submitted all the paperwork to the insurance so I am just waiting for approval so we can move forward... I just wanna get this done... Sorry that was bit of a whine.... Good luck to you all and may everyone's insurance say yes! :D

I was all set to go. I had completed all of the required tests and classes and had my surgery date set for July 30th and BAM!!! My doctor is not in my network? How can that happen if I've been seeing him for months? Still trying to work it out! So frustrating. Makes me think about giving up on the whole thing!

I was so there just a few weeks ago. I obsessively checked my email and phone. It took 2 weeks to get my stuff submitted and 2 weeks for approval. I never thought it would come, but it did, and Aug 27th is around the corner.

I know this feeling all too well! I'm normally pretty patient, but this is nerve wracking!

My approval is done so I'm just waiting for the office to call me with a date. Talk about hard! I wish they'd just tell me when they think they'll call so every morning I don't wake up expecting my phone to ring.

Good luck to you! It's almost here!

I was in limbo for about 2 months. I had everything done but my PCP, changed practices before my letter was faxed to the surgeon. I had to wait till he was in his new practice, and have an appointment with him and get him to get my medicial release out. All this while working 60 hours a week drinking Protein shakes for 2 meals a day.

It is all in the past and I have my date for August 6th. I'm ready for my sleeve, and some time off from work. Woot woot!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
