Hi I'm two weeks out Tommorow. My doctor okayed soft foods starting yesterday. Soft scrambled egg is good choice for me. I did try pintos and cheese it was ok for me no problems but I ate it slow and in several sittings I have had a few bites of mashed potatoe. That's about all the soft I've done, but in my opinion I know what to eat, but at this point I can't drink my Protein Shakes, I can't drink enough fluids, and if I have :2 bites of potatoe at least I'm getting a little something in my body. I can't hardly eat or drink anything as hard as I try to make myself.

cauliflower instead of potatoes? just because it is white? not a substitute at all' date=' i would rather go hungry, or bang my head against a brick wall. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />[/quote']

LOL!! THere are recipes online for mashed cauliflower. I have heard (because I come from a family of carb-conscious Barbies) that it tastes pretty good. Now, I know you're thinking never trust a Barbie, but I do trust the recommendations of two of my cousins, so I know I'm trying it.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
