Just approved and now meeting with the surgeon, what happens there?

Started this in March.... after all the hoops that you have to jump through I'm officially approved for surgery and the next step is meeting with the surgeon for the first time. I know the surgery will be scheduled after our meeting but curious as to what happens during the meeting? Can someone shed some light on what happens at this appt? Thanks!

My first visit with the surgeon was a basic consultation visit. We talked about my medical history, which surgery I was wanting to have (band, bypass or sleeve) and family history.
