I am almost 8 months out. I have been doing very well. About 6 weeks ago I had my first episode of vomiting. But I believe that it was from over eating the 2 times that it happened. Now it happens about once a week and do not know why. Yesterday had an apple with Peanut Butter and a half hour later up it all came. Needless to say I was afraid to eat the rest of the day. I'm eaten this before and never had a problem. The way it happens for me is the nausea hits and I am vomiting in 10 seconds. It is a race to the bathroom.

Please anyone else have this problem?

I am 2 months out and haven't vomited once. Could you have picked up a virus or eaten some bad food? Odd that it would have started now without some non-VSG cause.

Hope you feel better soon.

I am also 8 months out. Vomitting is just a part of my day. It doesn't seem to be related to how much, how fast, the time, the type of food or anything else. I have learned to live with it now. And I live with the reflux also. Even my 7 year old granddaughter says "if Nanna burps 4 times it means she is going to throw up". I think it's just a side effect for some of us.

What has your doctors said about the vomiting? Are they concerned?

My doctor is concerned and has been trying to find a solution. I have tried Nexium etc. But so far the best solution has been to stop eating.

Have not been to dr about this yet. But I can not tolerate this on a regular basis. So sorry yours is so bad. I'm thinking I may have a stricture, but I surely hope not.

I recently had a virus and had an hour long vomiting session. 4.5months was the first real time of this happening too. I ended up drinking herbal teas and feel better. But I hope you see a physician to get professional answers and let us know the update. Hope you feel better soon.

I'm hoping this isn't normal. I vomited about 5-6x a week following a lapband - haven't vomited once since being sleeved 8 days ago. Sounds very painful. I got used to it also. I could do it in the bushes at a friends house, on the side of the freeway out my car door, in public restrooms. I got pretty proficient with it. Even when it slipped and they totally unfilled me, I continued to vomit 2-4x a week.

I don't think that frequent vomiting is sposed to be normal.

I am 10 weeks out. I haven't vomited once. Hardly even felt nauseated. Learned early that it hurts to overeat, so I am better able to judge when I am full -- and to stop when that happens.

Good luck!

I refused to vomit! I would pound on my chest when the heaving would start the doctors thought I was nuts but it worked the air up and out and stopped the need to vomit.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
