Claud--what a nice story! :P Thanks for sharing with us! I was very happy to hear your father is doing better, too!

bk--I'm so excited for you! I don't think you could have received a better present during this holiday season!! :clap2: What a fantastic compliment you got, too! You are just on a roll, girl! Woo hoo!

b-man--The new fellow sounds positively yummilicious!! I hope you get to have coffee with him very soon! Good luck!

StephC--Your "wrestle with the printer" tale of woe made me giggle! By the time you have it all figured out, you'll need to buy a new printer!

Well everyone--try not to wear yourselves out too much! As for me, I was a total dingbat and dragged work home with me this weekend because I'm so far behind. Blah! I gotta go write a few more Christmas cards now...so much to do, so little time!

BK! SWEETHEART - omgoodness! So happy for you!!! Thats wonderful news, probably the best thing thats happened to any of us!!! I'm just so happy for you, enjoy your little bundle of joy, what a wonderful Christmas present! And what a nice compliment - you are a medium sized lady - nice! I hope you post some pics on Yahoo.

Transformer - yukky work on the weekend! I thought I had that darn printer figured out, changed the ink and everything and now the stupid thing won't print copies in black, only color. Yet when I do the test print, like print something from the computer it works. And I can't get the scanner to work. I finally gave up and hooked my old scanner up. Oh well the photo downloader works great. :P

If you need little laugh go to http://www.elfyourself.com/?id=1224151215 I have to say you may not find it as funny as I did since its my family, but we have been having a blast making these. Now you all can go elf yourself too.

Have a great relaxing Sunday my girlfriends. Love ya!

My birthday was great even though was away at work, after our awards banquet I went out with some of my friends, we had a blast. Got hit on a million time, boy that does alot for your ego! :)

My car is another story, she is broken down! I was driving it to the store yesterday and the belt slipped off. NOW I am going to have to fight the body shop to fix it, my car didn't have these problems before! I am so sick of this shit.

Well, one more pound gone! :clap2: Not that I am on track to lose all eight (that I want to lose) by the 22nd, BUT I have been giving it hell and trying my hardest.

Saw my lowest number ever on the scale this morning 174! (slow but sure)

BKwall - Congrats!!! honey, I am so happy for you ;) How is the little one?

Steph - haha, I have pictures of you taking that printer outside and chucking it down a hill!

Sweet Hot - How are the shin doing? Have you been able to run at all this week? I hate when that kind of thing happens and just throws your exercise off. Stupid Shins! ha you are doing sooooo well with that running too girl! You should be proud of yourself.

transformer - Hey!! How have you been!?!? Did you get all those Christmas Cards done?? Wish I wasn't so freaking lazy and had sent some this year like I wanted to, but I didn't. Pretty much too late to try to get it started for this year. I am such a bum! I did get my Christmas Tree up last night. So, I am a bit more in the spirit of the season now!

hi girlfriends - todays my bandversary! Wow one year ago I was laying there waiting for my turn and then I felt like I was hit by a truck. I'm so happy I've lost these 60 lbs!!! Its just unbelievable to me that I actually lost weight and have kept it off. A year ago my plan was to be at 150 today but I'm still happy with what I've done. Today my high scale read 171 - which is exactly 60 lbs and my sweetheart scale was 167. I also make little goals for myself and I noticed in my planner I had my goal to be 165 for tomorrow - so thats not too far off. My next goal is 160 by Jan. 28. Thats when I go see a different plastic surgeon. I'll be within 10 lbs of my highest goal and 20 lbs of my wannabe skinny goal. And also my mom and sister will be coming in Feb. to visit so I want to lose another 10 lbs before they get here. I've lost about 20 since I saw them last summer so another 10 would really make a difference.

Whats up with everyone? Is everyone busy with the holiday season and not posting?

Sweet - how's the splints? At least you can still ride the bike. I have GOT to get my butt moving if I want to hit my goals.

Boo - hon are things going any better for you? So sorry about the car troubles - I know how bad that sucks! Happy belated birthday - how about miss hot mama getting hit on? Hmmm? sounds like you had fun and a well deserved break from reality for an evening.

Everyone else I miss ya - please post and keep us updated.

I didnt' go to work yesterday - I normally go in on Mondays - but we bought our tree on Sat. and dh didnt' get it up until Sunday and it was all smushed up so I had to let it drop and I even had to pull the branches down, it had just been cut and bundled when we got it so it didnt' have a chance to fall open. Anyway I took my time and decorated it yesterday, between decorating the tree and moving furniture (which means cleaning) I worked for 4 hours. But my house looks beautiful. Really does put you in the mood when everything looks so good. And to top it off this is the very first time I've ever just taken my time with the tree, no one else was home and I could be creative. My little great neice was over last night and she's not quite 3 - she was just in awe over everything. I told my neice its so nice to see her joy in the decorations bc everyone else sees them every year and with her it was all new and exciting. I string garland and lights across my fireplace mantel, around the door frames, ontop the cupboards, so the whole place was lit up. I'm gonna watch her and her brother tonight while the parents shop.

Ok - better get off here, I'm at work hehe what a laugh. Anyway I have to run to the bank so I'll read ya all later!

i haven't run since Friday. I'll try to run tomorrow but we are leaving tomorrow night for Rome so i have a ton to do!

Thanks for thinking of me everyone!

Steph- I love christmas decor too. i can't wait to have my own house again with 110voltage that I can decorate. Here, i just put up my tree and a few other things, nothing spectacular. Your's sounds beautiful. Oh and congrats on the one year bandiversary!

Hey Sexy Ladies!!! How are you all doing??

I finally got a xmas tree today....so lame I had to go get it from Home Depot b/c the weather was so bad this weekend the boys and I couldn't go cut one down like we usually do! Oh well...it'll be up this afternoon!

Tomorrow I head to CO (weather permitting in CO...they're supposed to get a big storm) to get my 4th Fill 2 days before my 1 year Bandiversary!! Hard to believe it's been a whole year already!! I had a friend ask me yesterday "If you had to do it all over again, would you still do it?" And my answer was...of course...YES!!! Can't wait to get this next fill and get back on track and hopefully lose my 2nd 60 pounds in my 2nd year and get to Goal once and For All!!!!

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

      2. Selina333

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

      3. Doughgurl

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

    • LeighaTR

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

      2. Doughgurl

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜
