Ya know' date=' you can go ahead and make those muffins and still have them be nutritious and Protein packed - just use the Eggface recipe, it ROCKS!!!!! I will also fast tomorrow in solidarity although I am fasting today too. These hard cheese rocks are eaten like Snacks, like gobstoppers, lol. Last night I smashed one with a hammer and sprinkled it on a salad.[/quote']

Love it!!!!

Globe! Can you eat nuts? I am not going to send them if you can't eat them bc I love them. I bought them for you but I can't remember if it's on your list of no nos. They are a good source of Protein and they are not animal fat' date=' and they are good for Fiber. Oh and I forgot to tell everyone, I got my labs back and finally after 7 years of WLS I am no longer anemic. All my labs were very good. My doctor could not believe how low my cholesterol is. Yay for the sleeve![/quote']

Whoo hoo!!!!!! A great report!

Drum roll!!! I am now (at this very minute, cant speak for tomorrow...) below 170... that has been my long term goal. chocolate chips and all! Im still not "normal" on the one sized fits all bmi charts, but really close. Im planning on creating a good bounce range so I should be able to get there some time! Anyway, happy dance!

And supersweetums...we are missing her too!

...I stopped short of making some pumpkin muffins because I just *wanted* them but I knew that no one else will really eat them with me.

GT - I do love Eggface stuff, the only problem is a whole 15 ounce can of pumpkin will literally make tons of mini muffins. Or I could portion it out (but I'm really the only one who likes pumpkin stuff, like pumpkin pancakes, etc.) My kids literallly GROAN if I bake healthy and refuse to eat it. Hubby isn't big on baked stuff either. So yeah Sarsar has the right idea, bake and keep and few and give the rest away? I think Cheri is big on baking also! Lots of bakers around here. ;)

I must be on the same wave length... I took one cup of pumpkin, two egg whites and some torrani SF brown sugar and cinnamon Syrup, ground ginger, nutmeg and salt, poured it into a large pam sprayed cup, covered and microwaved about 5 minutes.... giant single serving of pumpkin "pie" I drained it a bit, its wattery, I topped with chopped walnuts and cool whip free.... Breakfast. Something about November shouts pumpkin!

You can always make a pumpkin "mug cake" and freeze the rest of the pumpkin....

YIIIPPPEEEE! This is great news, so happy for you! :)

Bahamas - Key West, Castaway Cat, Nassau. :)

Fun! Take some pics for us while you are gone. I have never gone on a cruise before. How long will you be gone?

More great news! I love hearing things like this!

I hope Allen gets his stuff soon so you can be done with this! I'm sure it's frustrating for you.

Keep us updated on the new guy!

Globe, I was cracking up about you breaking the cheese with a hammer. I would love to taste that some day.

Have a great day Ladies...good luck to those of you who are fasting today.:)

Yes!!! I am freezing almost all of the time. Especially in the fall, winter and spring. In the summer I'm ok outside but inside I am usually cold if the air is going.

I try not to complain about it because when I was fat I would sweat terribly. The sweating was so bad that I wouldn't go places because of it. I was hot all of the time. I hated it.

Not sweating much anymore has been one of the best things about getting my sleeve and losing weight! It's so nice to not have to worry about it anymore.

I don't know...I've been in Vienna for a business congress thingy and it was just nonstop and mental. I'm soooo tired.

GT, maybe this won't help at all, but I'ma say it anyhow -- the advances they are making in neuroscience and treatments for AIs like RA and MS are truly becoming amazing. So while you do your Wahl approach (of which I entirely approve, I DO think food can heal us when done right!!), be comforted that New Things are coming and they are just for you!!! xoxoxoxo

Congrats FYE - that's a big accomplishment.

Sorry to hear about the delay with picking things up, OD. It's not easy to end a relationship and it's worse when it just drags out. I hope he can pick his things up soon and you'll be able to start putting that behind you. I hope you have some luck with your dates - get out and have fun, maybe you'll meet a great match.

I fasted yesterday and it was a pretty easy day. I'm also focusing on Protein again. I've been letting those numbers slip and of course I feel more "hunger" when I do that. If I'm not careful, I fill that "hungry" space with junk. So the last few days I've been pushing protein hard and I'm back up in the 90-100 grams a day range again (I can only hit in the 50-60 range on fast days). My overall calorie counts are falling and I'm staying just around 1,000 calories a day with relative ease. I feel like I eat all day long! It's wonderful, really.

I'm also down 2.2 pounds on the scale since I started checking back in with you guys. I'm 1.2 pounds from the top end of my maintenance window and I'd like to lose another 5.5 pounds from this point. Once I'm there, I can reevaluate and decide if I want to fight it for another five. I might just do that.

My ultrasound showed some pretty serious adhesions. The entire left side of my uterus, my fallopian tube, my ovary - they can't see much about adhesions in an ultrasound but they were clearly in the wrong location and appear to be fused to my back. Well, that explains the pain!

I'm off hormones right now but doc is insisting I restart them. Why? Seriously, they *might* prevent more adhesions (assuming the side effects aren't as miserable as they were last time) but they won't do anything for the current ones. She's, in her words, "reluctant to refer me for surgery" if I'm unwilling to follow the prescribed hormone treatment afterwards, as the adhesions will likely just recur. Well, duh? I mean, even WITH hormones they recur!

I hate my doctor. I'm currently in the process of working with the Tricare representative to switch my care to an entirely different military hospital. I refuse to see someone so incredibly idiotic. She's done nothing but waste my time and send me in circles for months. It took me going to the ER to get the referral for the ultrasound in the first place, and it took phone calls to a patient rep to get an appointment with my PCM to read me the results so quickly. Government involvement in almost anything leads to poor customer service. You can't do anything about it - there's no incentive to improve, no monetary benefit tied to quality of care and no real repercussions for poor performance. Your patients/customers keep coming in the door because they have no other options. It's terrible and I hate it.

I'll put off the other fast day until Thursday. I find that my overall desire to snack is diminished now that I'm so focused on protein. It's a relatively simple way to get that carb monster off my back and get some results. Here's hoping that shaving my calories down will finally jump start loss again. I've enjoyed this last week of no real bounces - I hold steady some days but typically drop at least a tiny bit every other day.

~Cheri

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
