I was banded on Dec 14th. I was getting full and satisfied on small amounts of food around 1/2 cup, but now I seem to be able to eat larger portions. I dont want to stretch out my stomach.. I am able to eat 2oz of chicken, 1/2 cup of potatoes. Do you feel that Iam eating too much?

I have called my doctor and they just told me to eat more Protein to help me to stay fuller longer. I lost 15lbs pre-op and only 3 since being banded. Iam starting to get worried.. Thanks:hungry:

I was banded on 11/14 and I started eating more and getting more hungry about 3 wks postop. I get hungrier every day. I go for my first fill this week so I know how you feel. It doesn't sound to me like you're eating too much, just make sure you get your Proteins in first. Don't be worried, once you have a fill hopefully it'll get better.

Cherie berry, it sounds like you are eating just enough. YOu may be a slow loser at 1 lb per week. That is what I am at. If you are worried about your food choices I would bump up the Protein to 3 oz and omit the starch OR do a vegie instead. That may help you in the long run. If that doesn't work, its time for a fill. Good luck.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
