I'm not sleeved yet but I am a nurse. I wonder if you could be having low blood sugar/hypoglycemia. I'm not diabetic but when I don't get food in after a certain amount of hours I get nauseous and feel like I want to vomit. I run on the low side blood sugar wise so when I don't eat it hits me. The solution for me is to eat something but never sugary foods or drink that makes me even worse. I usually have a piece of cheese and lunchmeat, something basic.

Have you asked your surgeon or nutritionist about this? I'm sure the experienced sleevers here should have better insight on the matter than me. Hope you feel better soon and find your answer :)

Are you taking a ppi(Prilosec, nexium, etc) having acid reflux is very common for the first couple months post op. You should definitely check with your surgeon or PCP. Good Luck.

I'm a nurse too. What I am doing is crushing pepcid 20mg tab twice a day and take it in a tsp of juice. Other options include reglan which is a rx. That made me feel weird. Also if you are not getting enough fluids in that can also make you feel nausea as well as things that are too sugary too fatty too acid to spicey can irritate your stomach lining. I would feel better if you checked with your doctor asap.

I am almost 4 weeks out and have been using prescription Reglan about once or twice a day. It is not for everyone, as can have some side effects. I am lucky though and have zero side effects. Only issue is you can only take for short period of time. I take it 30 min prior to eating in addition to my ppi. It helps with nausea, reflux, and promotes motility. Also - have you asked your md for an upper gi ct scan with barium? I had one last week and they saw some narrowing. I had an endoscopy with dilation this past Friday and felt an amazing difference. It was a very simple procedure, no pain, and I was there less than 2 hours. Narrowing can be a normal side effect post op. My diet changed when I left the hospital Friday and it has been amazing. Good luck in some relief!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
