You must be a libra! I am, I am built the same way. I find that the more I learn to like myself, the less I care if others like me. It's a trait in our personalities that won't go away but we can learn to live with them;)

I'm a Leo lol. But I'm actually liking myself less after the surgery. Ive only lost 30lbs but it is coming off in the wrong places. I know I cannot control this. This is why I am in therapy. I had high self esteem before surgery and its slowly diminishing. Thank you for your kindness.

Hey Janice! I don't know what you've done or said that might have offended someone' date=' but seriously, some people LIKE to be offended and others love to be victims. Let them, it gives them something to do, something to whine about. It's ok, they'll get over it when someone else comes along to offend them, I promise!! I'm good at getting everyone all riled up, it's easy around here, with no effort at all.

Even if I knew what was said, I assure you, I wouldn't dislike you unless you were being out and out mean to someone, even then, I'd send you a personal message, I wouldn't dress you down on a silly forum. You are fine, just hang in there. If you have any questions, there are plenty of us around that will be glad to answer you if we can. If not, there are plenty of us that will have SOMETHING to say.....keep in mind, whenever we answer, it is our opinion, our story. You have to sift through all of it and hold on to what helps you. Also, don't forget, you should have easy access to your doctor's office, the nurse, dietitian etc. They're a real source, don't forget, they know you and your case!

If you don't have a real life support group, I highly recommend you find one, at least one....and go...go as often as you can. The people there will become your friends, and a real live, living breathing group of people you can lean on, I promise! Don't worry about the small stuff, and I promise, this cattiness that goes on here, keep a sense of humor, it IS small stuff. Keep that in mind and laugh about it!! My prayers are with you girl....good luck![/quote']

My family is a great support group but none of them have had this surgery. There is a support group for bariatric patients that meets once a month that I will be going to on Tuesday. I hadnt been able to make any prior to that. Thank you so much.

Don't apologize' date=' you have done nothing wrong. You gave your opinion. If someone "doesn't like you" for giving your opinion, they are no one you want in your life. If they can speak their opinion, so can you![/quote']

Thank you

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
